Sore bump at 25 weeks

My bump has been sore on and off for a few days, sore again since last night. Usually, it seems to get really sore when I overdo it at work and/or stand or walk for too long, so I know the cause, but this is more like dull pain in the background. Is this normal? I'm 25+4, first pregnancy.

My bump also hasn't moved up beyond the belly button at all yet and I can tell from his kicks that the baby is definitely far lower. At times, he seems to be sitting just above the pubic bone, with the area there feeling puffy and not firm at all. Occasionally, it also feels as if my innards were about to spill out through my vagina, but haven't had this for a week now.

I've been told that I had a higher risk of premature birth due to a bicornuate uterus, so a bit worried about any signs of baby being low and bump being sore and looking for reassurance...

Is your bump getting enough support? I was getting a few aches before I started sleeping with a pregnancy pillow, which has really helped take the weight off the bump at night. I imagine this is also possible during the day depending on what clothes you're wearing. I like over bump maternity clothes as I feel like they provide better support, taking a little weight off the bump to avoid pulling.

I don't have experience of the rest though, but wishing you luck and am sure someone else will be along soon with some more advice.

Thank you, Ruthiesj!

I sleep with a pillow tucked underneath my bump and usually wear over-the-bump style trousers during the day, but some of them are quite loose still, so don't seem to give much support. Maybe I should look into bump bands - thanks for your advice.

Bump bands and also a massage might help you - I had several in my pregnancy (neck, back, hips, bump etc) and didn't really have any problems after I started, but they were so nice I continued having monthly ones anyway to relax.

Thank you, FuzzyOwl!

I have bought a bump support band today - hoping the bump will be less sore tomorrow.
