Help me make a to buy list for #2

I'm only 10 weeks but already dp's family are on about what to buy for the baby. I'm very greatful for them buying us gifts they are all quite well off so their idea on budget and mine is very different where I would think of spending £20 they spend 60 so I just feel a bit awkward telling them what I need they always say what i say isnt enough and what else (in a nice way) its so awkward and uncomfortable so I've said I will do an Amazon wish list and they can pick whatever everyone thinks its great but stuck with what to put on it I forget all the things we actually used first time round with ds. Help me with what is needed (none of the first time needless crap) I have:
Pram
Steriliser
Monitor
Moses basket
Cot

And car seats

A sling - a moby or close caboo ( I think they are called that). A sling saved my sanity with number 2!

Definitely a sling! I loved the boba 4g, works right from newborn.

Some really engaging toys for dc1, maybe an aquadoodle? Depends on their age of course!

New mattress for cot - recommended for SIDS, a fancy organic one if you're that way inclined. Somewhere safe to put the baby downstairs, maybe a rock and play?

What about a sleepyhead? I'm getting one this time, didn't know about them with ds but wish I had as they seem to work miracles! I've also got a new changing bag this time, used the old one for almost two years and was sick of the sight of it by the end.

Changing mat
Baby bath seat
Nappies in different sizes of you have room to store (Amazon sell pampers etc)
Baby towels, if they're offering, you could get some fresh fluffy new ones
Gro bags?

New fancy change bag?
Lovely knitted pram blankets.

If you're having a different sex baby, appropriate clothes in NB size. We got caught out.

Look at Amazon mum, you can set up a standing order for nappies and wipes

Boppy pillow if you're going to bf

Stuff for the older sibling to make transition easier: toys and books and puzzles to keep him/her occupied

Hey Kiki, I know you said none of the needless crap but I my sister swore by 'sock ons' only £2/3 but they stop baby kicking and pulling there's teenie socks off.

I don't know how useful these would be though and how useful you would find them but though I'd let you know my sister used them everyday and saved on lost socks.

A little thing but could add to the list to make it seem bigger?

Feeding equipment? Bottles + pump or maybe a perfect prep machine if you plan to formula feed.

High chair if you don't still have one.

Thanks all great ideas! DS is 4 now we gave away lots of things because of our tiny flat only have big things I listed now.

I second the sleepyhead, it's been amazing for us. We had a glider crib for it to go into rather than a moses basket. Carried the sleepyhead downstairs when our DD napped downstairs.

Funky giraffe dribble bibs are meant to be good as they have a fleece back and are great for when they're teething.

Box of water wipes to last the first few weeks if you don't want to use cotton wool and water.

A nice footmuff for the buggy, I know a few friends who have sheepskin lined ones.

Personally regarding a sling I would wait till your DD is born and go to a local slinf library to try out a few different ones to see what suits.
