Babybjorn Bouncer or Baby Swing?

I'm 30 weeks with DC1 and trying to get organised

I would love some advice as to which is most useful - I've had great recommendation on the Babybjorn, but do you think a colourful (motorized?) swing with mobile etc is more effective to keep the wee one happy. Or are they quite different?

No experience here and need help, thank you

They are quite different. DS loved the bouncer, and hated his swing.

I prefer the bouncer as the baby uses his own legs to keep it moving. In fact, our babybjorn bouncer was one of the things that we used most, and we've bought again for DC2.

You get more life out of the bouncer I found gentle rocking with my foot was brilliant to send them to sleep. Swing was very short lived for the money

Loved our bb bouncer. Much better than the huge swing.

Ds was quite high maintenance and a velcro baby. Didn't like the bouncer much, as he couldn't/wouldn't put the effort in to rock himself. I think a swing would have made our lives a lot easier, but we didn't think of getting one until DS was toi old for it.

Thanks everybody. Yes I think I fancy the Babybjorn Bouncer and only get a swing later on if I feel it the baby could benefit.

Before dc1 I read reviews on every baby accessory going - everything was thourghly researched and I bought with confidence!
One of the things I bought was the baby bjorn bouncer. My baby loved it, I was able to shower / cook / hover because of it, I congratulated myself on a great £100 purchase.
My parents bought a similar product, hideous, £20 from mothercare, which my baby also loved. Sadly he couldn't seem to tell the difference in quality and style despite me telling him!
Absolutely go for the bjorn if you like it, but your lo probably won't notice the extra money spent on it.

Our baby (and most of those we know) lived in her Baby Bjorn bouncer for weeks. We used to take it everywhere as she was very happy bouncing, watching U.S. and babbling away. We put it away at six months but it was a brilliant purchase until then and so so useful.
