Period like cramps and lower back ache

Hi ladies 33+2 and have been having quite bad period like cramps today with a bad lower backache. Also feels like I'm getting a shooting pain down my leg. Taken 2 paracetomal and still in pain. Is this normal or anyone else also had this???

I had this with DS2 at about the same time - had indigestion like pains grumbling away all day which turned into contraction like pains by the evening. Stayed overnight in hospital where I had pain relief and was monitored but they subsided by themselves and vanished by the morning. Went home and DS2 turned up at 40+5. There was no explanation! It was scary but fine in the end. Hope everything is ok for you x

Call the midwife and ask their advice - that's what I did and they did want me to come in for a check up. X

It probably is quite normal but call in anyway and see what they say.

Pains vanished today and have been told it is quite normal it's all the stretching and preparing was quite scary though

How weird I'm 33 +2 and have been getting the same pains. I also have spd but these pains are different. I just put it down to everything getting ready, tummy stretching etc. Never hurts to check up though, better safe than sorry.
