17 weeks with 3rd baby and panicking

I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and you can barley tell that I'm pregnant im also starting to panic as I still haven't felt the baby move which I did with my 2nd DS at about 14-15weeks. Anyone been in similar situation?

Hi I'm 17+5 and I'm in the position. I haven't felt any kicks. And no bump as yet. I'm really worried too, it's so hard not to be. I have booked a private scan for Thursday as my 20 week scan is just over 2 weeks away.

Hi, with my 3rd dc I didn't really show until later than I did with #1 & #2 I also put on the least amount of weight too. His movements weren't really noticeable at 17 weeks compared to my DD who was never still and I felt things very early with her. I know I'm probably not much help but each pregnancy & baby is different. And over the next few days/week you may suddenly "pop" which is what happened with #3 with me. I remember a work colleague commenting on the difference over just a matter of days.

Hi Rosi I'm sorry your in the same position too, good luck with the scan on Thursday let me know how you get on. Got my 20 week scan in a 3 weeks just hoping I feel somthing before then.

Do you know where your placenta is?

In both my pregnancies, I had the placenta at the front, which can make it harder to feel movements, and both times, I didn't feel any movements from the baby until after 20 weeks.

Hi pumkins I'm at almost the same stage as you with dc3, I was 17 weeks on Sunday past amd only began feeling movement yesterday and today they are very definite and all day long. Didn't expect that so soon. So hopefully in the next week you'll feel some definite movements. All the best xx

I felt like you, I'm pregnant with DC2 and it took longer than I expected for me to start showing! I was nearly 17 weeks in the top pic! The bottom pic is 6 weeks later and I've well and truly popped!! With not feeling movement yet, that's still perfectly normal. The position of your placenta plays a large part so that could be an explanation for feeling earlier last time and not feeling anything yet. Please don't worry! I bet in a few weeks you'll be telling a different story! Your bump will probably pop out all of a sudden x

I'm in the same position as you - 17 weeks with DC3 and still tiny. I can still wear pre pregnancy clothes and I'm not getting much movement compared to what I remember from the last times. I've lost a lot of weight so far in this pregnancy due to the sickness that will not go away so I look smaller than I did before I was even pregnant.

I mentioned it to the midwife at my appointment this morning and she didn't seem too concerned - just said that every pregnancy is different.

It's a worry though!

Placenta could be at the front? I have a low laying placenta and I felt my baby at 16 weeks (first baby). My sister has a friend whose placenta was at the front and she felt nothing until about 24 weeks. Try not to worry-with 2 other children I bet you're really busy and it's harder to concentrate on movement when you're non-stop!

I'm 20 weeks and have felt barely anything and felt so much so early with DD. I did find out at my scan that I have an anterior placenta so could well be the cause of yours!
