Basically what the title said, has anyone else had this? I had my cervical stitch removed this morning. I went straight to 10cm with bulging membranes. I bled during / after removal but it was minimal and stopped around 2.

I had 6 really uncomfortable tightening s between 2/3pm lasting between 50-80 seconds with back ache, and stomach cramps But then they stopped.

Tightenings started again about an hour ago, so far had 4 lasting between 50-60 seconds. Went to the toilet and had pink bloody discharge.

Does this sound like it may be the begining?

How many weeks are you? And I'm confused, are you saying you went to 10cm then shrunk back to 2cm??

Newlywed123 · 18/01/2016 21:16

Sorry that was meant to say 2cm!

I worded that really badly. It's meant to say I dilated straight to 2cm and my bleeding after the stitch removal stopped at 2pm. It's been a long day. Apologies

It could just be that the removal of the stitch has irritated the uterus only time will tell if is started off your labour. How are you this morning?

The same as yesterday really. Stronger tightening but with no pattern, period cramps and bad back pains. Increased stringy discharge but that's it. Had a really bad nights sleep due to the bad back

I was 4 cm for a week before labour started properly but then it was my 5th baby.
Hopefully things will settle down and you'll be ok for another fortnight.
