Great list! You sound very prepared. My other suggestions would be:
Nursing bras
Nappy bags
Scratch mitts
Socks (I put on under babygros when it was cold)
Changing bag
Baby thermometer and room thermometer (prevents the whole 'are they warm enough?' Debate)
Saline nasal drops (if baby gets stuffy nose)

And newborn/size 1 will be fine to start with, few newborns would fit into size 2!

Congratulations and best of luck!

I don't think anyone has mentioned muslins/burp cloths?

DC3 was really sicky baby and they were a vital part of my clothing until we discovered (at about a year) that she was lactose intolerant.

I used them for loads of things, sun shades, impromptu changing or floor mats, extra cover, cuddly to help sleep.

Now DS is 11 and girls are 8 and 5, they have all been re-purposed as tea towels.

I would recommend a sling/carrier. Mine is the NCT close caboo carrier and my DS loved it! Also, in regards to breast pads, if you plan to BF I would recommend the lansinoh pads and the lansinoh nipple cream. Congratulations! I do love a good list Smile

After an extended stay with DD1, this time round I had a 2nd case packed which stated in the car unless needed if I had to stay in longer than planned. Extra nighties and clothes for both of us plus a few treats (jelly babies). Also extra pads and nappies.
This saved DH from having to find stuff to bring in. I was very pleased to have been prepared because I stayed 2nighta so needed it.

Hi thanks everyone. There's some great ideas here and I'm pleased to see I don't seem to have forgotten anything too major. I'm far more organised than I expected to be at this stage. I thought I'd be running round panicking at the last minute. Or waddling anyway Grin

You will use every size of nappy so don't worry! We bought enough nappies initially for 2 weeks calculated at 12 per day. We got about 2.5 weeks out of that initial batch but DS was in size 1s for a good while.

I bf and didn't keep any formula in the house, it wasn't necessary for me. And I managed to get time to express about 3 times in total, so my expensive pump wasn't worth it! So maybe hold off on that for a whole!

One thing I used was tea tree oil - you but a few drops mixed with an egg cup full of milk into your bath water - it keeps your stitches clean and aids healing

Arnica cream. I have some in my bag, supposed to be good for reducing swelling and bruising.

That's a really good list rufus. There's definitely a couple of things on there I've not thought of so I'll have to add them to my list.
