Buying clothes based on nub guesses?

Has anyone/would anyone buy clothes based on nub scans? I wouldn't go out and buy a load of brand new things obviously but a friend of mine has a bin bag full of lovely next stuff, stuff that's virtually brand new and was brought only a few months ago. She offered me the whole bag for £15 and has got to be worth well over £100. It's baby girls stuff and most have my guesses have been girls! Would anyone else?

Nope.

What would you do with it all if you have a boy?

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 15/01/2016 19:13

Well I suppose you could always buy it then sell it on if it's a boy. If you can be bothered.

SerenityReynolds · 15/01/2016 19:17

You have a 50/50 chance I guess if it's that much of a bargain. If you can afford £15, why not?

PennyHasNoSurname · 15/01/2016 19:17

When is your 20 week scan? Can she hang on to the bag til then?

chipsandpeas · 15/01/2016 19:19

you could take the chance, buy the bag for 15 quid, worst that can happen is your guess is wrong, then you can sell the bag on for the same money

NHKX2 · 16/01/2016 17:53

Can she hold onto it until you know what your'e having? I guess £15 isn't a lot to be out if you have a boy. Nub "guesses" are just that. You have a 50/50 chance.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 16/01/2016 17:56

I'd buy it. If you find out you're having a boy someone will buy it from you on a FB selling page.

BatMobile · 16/01/2016 19:40

No Hmm

tomatodizzy · 16/01/2016 19:41

No my nub looked like a girl. Even posted online for opinions and
ALL were girl. My boy is 3.

tomatodizzy · 16/01/2016 19:43

But then again for £15, why not, you can always sell it for £15 if you find out it's a boy.

bittapitta · 16/01/2016 19:44

If it's a bag full surely some is gender neutral? Hope so. For £15 I would buy it, sift through it and sell on the pink stuff if it's a boy, no great loss.

Jenjen86 · 16/01/2016 20:03

We were convinced girl based on nub but it was a boy. There might be some stuff in the bag that's neutral anyway but tbh your friends and family will give you so much stuff as you get towards your due date that it's probably not worth the money. Also charity shops tend to have lovely, barely worn clothes that are super cheap (my sister gets all hers for 25 an item and most of it is from next, mamas and papas etc)
