pain after the sweep

first time mum here so sorry if I'm clueless. I had the sweep at 10am today, had a few mild period cramps when it happened but they eased off. since about 3/4 I've been getting bad back ache. sometimes it feels like it's in waves then other times it feels like it's there constantly. it's uncomfortable to sit stand lie down just in general uncomfortable

did anyone else have this? is it normal?

Oh my goodness I'm actually so excited for you. I loved being in labour! (I'm weird like that )

I got all my pain in my back with my first baby. But be was laid sideways so I think that was why.

Try to relax when you have a contraction (easier said than done I know!) But tensing makes them feel worse.

Have you looked at any breathing techniques? I'm not sure how effective it actually is but concentrating on that certainly takes your mind off it. YouTube have some videos that might help.

on the phone midwife said when I do have one breath through my nose out through my mouth.

I'm surprisingly calm when they happen. Wasn't at first though xD

Good luck. Do some positive visualisation. Imagine that baby falling smoothly out your vagina and coming up for a cuddle! Excited.

might be heading in a bit they're getting a bit more frequent now.

DP keeps shouting at the TV (playing games to try and distract himself) and LO seems be excited about it and keeps going crazy. DP thinks he's helping by making him push himself out....men haha

just an update LO arrived today at 4:54 am after water's broke at 12:25 this morning. hes so amazing
