35 weeks and having an elcs (though no date yet).

My back is so painful when I move/walk that I'm nearly scared to leave the sofa. I can't live like this for another 4-5 weeks. Physio said it was a bulging disc but the pain is now in my lower back and lower bump and groin and inner thigh.

What can I do to relieve the pain? How do I manage the school ry with 2 dcs when I can barely walk?

(Sorry for moaning!)

Sorry you're suffering - it sucks!

Firstly you need to keep mobile so even wandering around the house rather than being immobile. This helped me hugely.

A hot water bottle also gave me some relief, but not too hot and I had to be propped on the sofa on a particular configuration!! I'm guessing this might not be possible with 2DC? See if you can get hold of some cura-heat patches as they were great for when I was out and about.

Is DH able to do the school run? Or another there another local family member/other mum who would be able to help you for a couple of days?

I have a slipped disc which causes sciatica Hmm I've been prescribed coedine which gives me a considerable amount of pain relief so see if you can't get an appointment with your GP tomorrow and ask them if it would be okay for you.

Take care and I hope you feel better soon.
