Vomiting blood, anyone else had this?

I'm 23 weeks pg with my 3rd and still being sick almost every morning. I was very sick with my 1st pg and brought up small traces of blood when being sick first thing in the morning but dr said was just from the retching tearing my stomach or something slightly. This time i have also brought up traces of blood, slightly more than before but just assumed it was the same thing so not mentioned it to anyone. But this morning I brought up nothing but blood and there really was quite alot. It was bright red so I think it's probably the same thing as obviously fresh blood but I was abit shocked and freaked out by how much there was! I am seeing the dr tomorrow about this but just wondered if anyone else has had the same thing or knows anything about it as I dont know anyone else who has.

I have no experience but if you have damaged tummy quite a bit from wretching then it could be really quite a large amount of blood. Just like the blood when you have nose bleed, or cut your mouth etc.

There was another thread about this not so long ago, SIHP! Have definitely heard of this before - you poor thing - must be horrible and rather frightening.

Hi, no personal experience, but if you feel you are bringing up a lot of blood, I feel you should mention it to your m/w or gp....you are obviously a bit concerned about the amount, so, better safe then sorry!
BTW are you under stress or could it be something unrelated to pg?
I feel, having it checked out might be best, tbh!

It may be an irritation from your throat. My nephew has reflux and vomits blood because of how sore his throat is.

I don't know if this helps but, it could explain what's going on.

SIHP, I'm 20 weeks pg with my 1st and I've had this with my morning sickness. Some days there was more blood than others - one morning it was really heavy for want of a better word .

I've put it down to burning my throat and mouth with (apologies to the squeamish) stomach acid as I've noticed that on the mornings I've vomited blood I've also had worse bleeding gums and a seriously sore throat. Generally I was only vomiting acid and blood because before I could get a cream cracker near my mouth I was bent over the sink

However, if you're vomiting nothing but blood that does not sound good - what did your doctor say?
