From top to bottom, arse first then landed on bump and whacked my neck off a step. The carpeted ones in my house. This was hours ago and at the time i was shocked and a little sore but as baby kicked no bother since I haven't made a fuss.

However I'm now stuck in bed on my back I feel dizzy and hot and I've been sick. I don't know if they're completely unrelated or not? Are these things that usually happen after a fall? Maybe I've caught a bug at the same time by coincidence.

Can feel my bones crunching when move and I'm too sore to get up but baba is still kicking fine so don't wanna ring midwife/hospital and be a nuisance Confused Would you?

Go get checked out, could you have banged your head and have concussion?

You won't be making a fuss at all, do you have someone who can drive you?

Hemmingbird · 08/01/2016 00:09

I'm 35 weeks and I think I'd definitely give them a call just in case - baby's probably fine but it would be better to have a chat with them and just put your mind at rest. Especially as you've been sick. All the best Flowers

GiddyOnZackHunt · 08/01/2016 00:10

Yes go and get checked asap. Don't be fobbed off. And go tonight.

HanSolo · 08/01/2016 00:11

Which bones are crunchy?

It's hard to say whether they're related, but if you whacked your neck, they could be.

I'd say ring nhs direct first, emergency midwife second if needed. DO you have someone with you in the house? So sorry this has happened- falling down stairs isn't nice at the best of times!

I would definitely seek medical advice though.

JE1234 · 08/01/2016 00:13

Please go and get checked out immediately. I am 36 weeks now and one of our NCT girls had a similar fall a fortnight ago. I don't want to scare you but her placenta detached the next day. You really need to be checked out, please go as soon as you can.

JE1234 · 08/01/2016 00:14

P.S you landed on the bump, they will want to see you and you won't be wasting their time

outputgap · 08/01/2016 00:17

Defy get checked out. You will not be wasting anyone's time. They would want you to be seen under the circumstances you describe.

GiddyOnZackHunt · 08/01/2016 00:21

JE that's what's worrying me too. The dizziness and temperature could be related to bleeding. Similar happened to a friend of mine in a car accident. And because baby is moving it seems OK but it can change quickly.

JE1234 · 08/01/2016 00:23

Giddy, I agree completely. OP, your symptoms really aren't good. Please, please, please get checked out. I sat opposite my new friend consoling her as she blamed herself for not going to the hospital. I would hate for it to happen to another person. You will probably be fine but you need someone to check you over.

ExasperatedAlmostAlways · 08/01/2016 00:25

Get to hospital to get checked! Please!

SnackPlease · 08/01/2016 05:58

Go to hospital.

CumbriaMum91 · 08/01/2016 11:32

Thank you everyone, I've made an appointment for today I had no idea the effects it could have on the placenta. (Always imagined I'd see any bleeding, never considered internal).

Baby comes before me not wanting to make a fuss I'm really grateful for everyone's advice x

Great, I hope you're both doing ok today Flowers

CurlsLDN · 08/01/2016 19:49

How are you op?

CumbriaMum91 · 08/01/2016 20:02

Hi I was monitored for some time and luckily all the damage is to my muscles and bones (which doesn't sound that lucky but thank god it's not baby!)

Thank you for asking Smile

JE1234 · 08/01/2016 20:09

Great news (not the damage to you). Glad to hear the baby is fighting fit and I hope you feel better soon Flowers

HanSolo · 08/01/2016 21:06

Glad to hear all well with baby. I hope you're feeling better soon.

Luckygirlcharlie · 08/01/2016 22:04

Shit I'm glad you went. Do not hesitate to go back if need be. People go for a fraction of what you describe. Rightly too. I fell down stairs 3 weeks ago and broke my foot and ruptured a billion ligaments so I'll be your buddy in injury! 31 weeks and fed up! Speedy recovery x

mrsjskelton · 11/01/2016 10:28

Get yourself checked out PLEASE OP.

mrsjskelton · 11/01/2016 10:29

Sorry I rushed to reply!!!! Phew! Glad all is well
X

RufusTheReindeer · 11/01/2016 10:31

Glad you are both ok Thanks

I fell out of an attic with baby number 3

He is as right as rain now except for a distrurbing adoration of all things minecraft Hmm

That might be because he is 12 though

Take care
