nausea in late pregnancy?

How common is this? I'm 36+4 weeks and for the past week I've had a constant headache and the feeling of nausea (like morning sickness) I was checked for preeclampsia yesterday and my blood pressure etc was all perfect so I know it's not that, I'm not too concerned as I have regular check ups anyway as baby is very big so I'm sure they would have spotted it If something was wrong but I just can't stand feeling this way:( my consultant has taken me off of my Iron tablets (I was on 3 a day) until my blood results come back to see if I still need them, could this be the reason?? Did anyone have the same problem in late pregnancy and what was the outcome?Star

Yes, my nausea returned in late pregnancy.
I upped my water intake to ensure I was hydrated and nibbled Jacob's cream crackers like when I had morning sickness and that eased it a bit.
Not long to go now! Good luck.

I had about 2 weeks break from nausea in the second trimester, aside from that it lasted the entire pregnancy. I used to carry about those ginger chews you can get in health food shops like Holland and Barrett's, and also try and make sure my stomach never got empty so ate small amounts regularly.

I didn't just carry the chews, I chewed and swallowed them! Grin

I am 31 weeks and my nausea is back a bit...not as bad as it was in the first trimester, but still there.

Really random but I've found putting a bit of peppermint oil on a damp flannel and sniffing it actually works quite nicely.

Also drink loads of water as sizethree says.

Thankyou for the advice! I love peppermint oil so that's handy and I'll invest in some cream crackers later todayGrin
