Pregnant for the 5th time...another ectopic? Hand holding please!

Hi all,

I haven't posted in an age but here's a brief history of my baby making journey.

2007 - healthy baby boy
2010 - ruptured ectopic, lost left Fallopian tube
2011 - healthy baby boy
2014 - pregnancy of unknown location, suspected attached to chest wall after failing to find via laparotomy
2015 - bfp today!

So today's bfp comes with huge mixed emotions. At 9dpo, the line on the test is really dark so I'm hoping that's a good sign but as soon as I saw that line, I rang the Early Pregnancy Unit and so had bloods taken at 11am.

I'm nervously awaiting the result, not that it'll give much info, but it'll provide the baseline for the next lot of bloods on Thursday.

I'm sooooooo nervous! Help! Xxx

I'm too recently pregnant after 4 losses, back to back. No ectopics (yet and hopefully never) but not holding out much hope for the only reason that it feels better not to X please let me know how you get on X

Just had a phone call from the EPU...HCG 17 at 3 weeks and 1 day. So low

I don't know what those numbers indicate, but I'm sorry to hear you're going through this stress and worry right now. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

I really don't think that is low for 3 weeks, the first bloods won't mean much any way.
It's the doubling of the numbers after 48/72 hours that will mean more.

Second bloods taken to date at 9.30 and they've quadrupled!

So at 9dpo, hcg 17
11dpo, 46 hours later, 71

Don't know what on earth to make of this?!

Just spoke to the EPU and I've been informed that they won't be doing anymore bloods (!) but have booked me in for a scan a week Monday! Oh my gosh, I'm going to be a wreck by that time!
