Sorry, cross posted.

maybebabybee · 04/01/2016 19:43

X post. Is it one sided? If it's that bad I'd get it checked out so they can rule out an ectopic.

NerrSnerr · 04/01/2016 19:43

I'm not convinced there is anything the hospital would do if there is no bleeding unless the pain is really bad (and then it could be something not related to pregnancy). Have you tried taking paracetamol?

SkyShadow · 04/01/2016 19:43

As previous posters say, that isn't uncommon. No bleeding is a good sign.

Clarkey2345 · 04/01/2016 19:45

I was at my GP surgery today and they didn't mention ectopic pregnancy and said cramping is normal just have to keep an eye on the pains they are not one sided pains all across the stomach and sometimes in the back.

Then hospital wouldn't do anything if there is no bleeding sadly. It's far to early to scan/find a heartbeat to check what's going on.

maybebabybee · 04/01/2016 19:46

Ah in that case as pp have said they won't do anything if no bleeding.

Honestly period like cramping is normal in early pregnancy.

Clarkey2345 · 04/01/2016 19:46

So what should i do as the cramping in my stomach is quite painful

OP posts:
Clarkey2345 · 04/01/2016 19:47

I am not sure if it is the same as period pain as i don't get pain before periods really

You can take paracetamol in pregnancy (I was prescribed it as I had painful hips) and maybe a hot water bottle?

Heirhelp · 04/01/2016 19:48

If you have been to the GP today and pain is not any worse and you have not developed any more symptoms then there is not much you can do but rest. If you are worried call 111 and get proper medical advice.

Have you had a positive pregnancy test result.

maybebabybee · 04/01/2016 19:48

It may not be pregnancy related, do you have any other symptoms? Could be wind or constipation?

Go to bed with paracetamol and a hot water bottle and see how it feels in the morning.

Heirhelp · 04/01/2016 19:49

Take paracetamol, have a warm bath and go bed early.

Champagneformyrealfriends · 04/01/2016 19:49

Take 2 paracetamol and try and rest. I was 5 weeks when I found out I was expecting and I'd been having really bad pains for a week-I thought it was my period starting and my periods are particularly bad!

Mslg · 04/01/2016 19:50

Try paracetamol and a hot water bottle. If the pain get too much, contact midwife/doctor

mrschatty · 04/01/2016 19:50

clarkey it's clear from your previous threads your having quite a tough time over the last few months. Like others have said cramps are common in early pregnancy but call 111 if your worried. It's an anxious time in early pregnancy... pregnancy throughout really... I hope your GP offered some additional support?

Clarkey2345 · 04/01/2016 20:28

Had about 6 pregnancy tests all came back positive dad didn't seem to worried that it was ectopic pregnancy or anything when i visited them gave me anti-biotics to treat a water infection.

OP posts:
NerrSnerr · 04/01/2016 20:30

It's probably a mixture of the pregnancy and the water infection causing the pain. I would take the advice about the paracetamol and hot water bottle and go back to your go if the antibiotics don't kick in sometime in the next few days,

Clarkey2345 · 04/01/2016 20:45

Yes taken paracetamol and got a hot water bottle hopefully the anti-biotics will work

Glad we got to the bottom of it eventually Hmm

Clarkey2345 · 05/01/2016 15:26

Cramps are still there although not as strong so so worried don't know what to do??

OP posts:
LastOneDancing · 05/01/2016 15:36

I don't think you can do anything OP. As other posters have said, cramps are normal at this stage and water infections are bloody painful! It could well be that which is causing you discomfort and not the baby at all.

Best thing you can do is take your medication, try not to think about it (hard I know) and keep busy while the ABs have a chance to kick in.

Clarkey2345 · 05/01/2016 15:38

The cramps have been for 3 days now and i am so worried it could be MC because i have had many before and it's so horrible really hope it isn't my GP said go back in 4 days to do another test.

OP posts:
Clarkey2345 · 08/01/2016 22:39

Ok so it's been nearly a weeks now been to my GP twice because of how bad these stomach pains been on two lots of anti-biotics but really worried it could me something else going on....

OP posts:
GiddyOnZackHunt · 09/01/2016 00:21

clarkey with the best will in the world there are two options. Either this is normal pregnancy stretching combined with a UTI or it is a mc. My (several) mc never had cramping before bleeding; you may have had different experiences. But nothing can realistically be done now if you are having a mc. :( My considered advice is, yes it's ridiculously stressful but apart from a blood test to check your hormone levels there is nothing to be done.
I do know how scary it is.
