I am so F"&%(D off with feeling sick. Really, really p*ssed off with it. And it's not just feeling sick, I'm constantly on the verge of needing to rush off to the bathroom. On a good day I'll be sick twice, a bad day it will be half a dozen times. For the most part I am keeping my food down - hence why I say I don't deserve the sympathy! However I can't eat a whole meal (I'm sick about two thirds of the way through it) so I constantly feel "empty" but can't face eating.

I'm doing all the right things - I drink lots of water (which I can keep down), nibble between meals, eat anything I fancy when I can - and to be fair I'm not losing weight or anything. And it's hardly the end of the world is it - it'll all stop in a few weeks (hopefully ).

I'm just totally fed up of feeling this way!!!!

Thank you for letting me whinge.

Oh Miaou it's horrible isn't it?

I was sick constantly with my ds, it never let up for the whole pregancy.

You have my sympathy (which I know you don't want!).

bumperlicious · 17/12/2006 20:16

Hey miaou,
Of course you deserve sympathy - it sucks! But fingers crossed it will pass soon and you will forget just how bad it was (when I was at my worst I was like "I'm never drinking again, this is like a 24hr hangover!) but now at 13wks I'm like "can I just smell your glass of red wine...?!").
I really hope you feel better soon, I hope you have someone to run around after you. It really taints your view of pregnancy doesn't it? So far I have hated it, which is really sad.
Whinge on! We've all been there!

Miaou · 17/12/2006 20:22

Thankyou

I'm very lucky - dh is a fantastic cook and cooks me whatever I fancy - he also does dirty nappies and clears up in the kitchen when I can't face it. I feel about as useful as a chocolate teapot though . We moved house at the beginning of October, I fell ill with appendicitis almost immediately, then as soon as I was recovered from surgery (well, before actually ) I got pregnant (and ms started straightaway) - so I feel I just haven't done a thing since we moved here, dh has had to do it all! Not helping me to feel better really.

and I had to go and be sick in the middle of writing that - grrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrr!!!

I expect you've heard all this before, but some people find ginger helps, as in ginger & something else tea bags. Also peppermint.

I always thought dealing with potties full of poo would make me sick in last pregnancy, but in the end it was the whiff of chocolate that had me heaving.

Good luck. All of a sudden you'll be blooming and won't remember when the nausea stopped. I hope.

Miaou · 17/12/2006 21:23

I really hope so, elasticwoman! It's starting to make me feel really down and that's just not like me at all.

I'd missed your news...congratulations

Miaou · 17/12/2006 21:39

Lol Wallace!! I can't believe you've missed me moaning for the last - er, 9 weeks

it seems like only 5 minutes since we were all moaning about ms on the march thread, now we are all moaning about needing to pee all the time and not being able to sleep(or walk,or generally do anything atall).
your dh cant carry the baby for you,so its only fair he should be doing everything else

hippmummy · 18/12/2006 20:53

Congrats - and sympathies - I had it bad too!
I recently mentioned this on another ms thread - have you tried the travel sickness wristbands? They really worked for me. Boots sell them.

Miaou · 18/12/2006 20:57

I have hippmummy, thanks - but they don't do it for me!! I am kind of resigned to the fact that nothing much really helps.

HOWEVER - I had a relatively good day today so that helps to get everything back into perspective! Three bad days in a row does not help my state of mind I can tell you

Divastrop, you see, there is another reason why I shouldn't have any sympathy - going by my previous pgs, once I am past the m/s I bloom - picture of health, stacks of energy, never get tired or uncomfortable, blah blah blah - this trimester is the worst for me by far! (You may if you wish )
