I'm currently 17 weeks with our first....is it bad that I'm already counting down how many weeks left at work until I start maternity leave to meet our bundle of joy?

Anybody else or just me?!

Before the Christmas break I worked out I had exactly 48 working days left until I take a weeks annual leave followed by my Mat Leave. I might fashion myself something to count it down with at my desk! Only trouble is, I have loads of work to get done before I go Confused

LBOCS2 · 03/01/2016 23:52

20 working days to go, hurrah! I'm 26 weeks now and finishing at the end of Jan - the company policy is that I have to use all my annual leave before starting maternity leave, so I've got 7 weeks of annual leave + bank holidays to take before my maternity leave kicks in.

I can't bloody wait.

29 weeks here and finishing up at the end of February - 8 weeks to go and you'd better believe I'm counting down!

LBO you lucky dog, you!

Going back today after a period of being signed off, also 17 weeks..... Counting down the days to my next annual leave! Hopefully now the pregnancy will feel like it is going quicker, I feel like I have been pregnant for a year already!

Congratulations Oyster!!

Silversun83 · 04/01/2016 08:30

Another one counting down here! I'm not a teacher but had almost two weeks off over Christmas and it was sooo painful getting up this morning. 22 weeks and planning to finish the first week of April... I have about 12 weeks, once I've taken off a week of annual leave in Feb and time off over Easter...

Silversun83 · 04/01/2016 08:31

And congratulations also Oyster! I saw your other post and glad you're all doing well.

waxweasel · 04/01/2016 10:56

Congrats Oyster! That will be a satisfying phone call to make Smile

I started a countdown in my notebook the same week I got my BFP, before my period was even due! Grin Do I win?!? I have 7 weeks left after this one...am finishing at 34 weeks, having saved up my a/l. Absolutely can't wait!

Paperblank · 04/01/2016 18:54

I've got a month left...

Finishing on 5th Feb. But as one bitchy colleague pointed out I've got so many appointments to go to in the next few weeks it's hardly worth me going to work.

I'm just going to sit quietly at my desk clearing up a few loose ends.

Issie339 · 04/01/2016 19:57

7 weeks left for me and I can't wait!!! First day back tomorrow and dreading it, it will be ridiculously busy right until the bitter end unfortunately too, sigh.

GlamourBear · 04/01/2016 20:13

Seriously quite really really jealous of people who only have a few weeks left. I've still got 20 which seems like forever now I've read some of these posts!

Lots of beautiful babies arriving soon Grin so exciting!!

35 weeks today, and my first day back in the office; finishing at the end of next week. 9 days to go and I can't wait - hoping to get the house tidy and the freezer stocked before I'm due!

Miffy1979 · 06/01/2016 13:36

23 weeks here.. finishing up at the end of March by taking some annual leave (way too exhausted and sore already to carry on beyond that!) 12 weeks and counting!

frikadela01 · 06/01/2016 15:55

So so jealous of everyone going off soon. I just worked out I've got 5 week till a weeks annual leave. Then 8 week until 2 weeks annual leave then 4 weeks until 3 weeks leave followed by maternity leave. So 85 shifts to work in total until I'm off for 9 months.

GlamourBear · 06/01/2016 16:13

I have 19 and a half weeks left seems like forever but got lots of long weekends booked in and we'll be busy getting things ready so hopefully it'll fly by bet it won't
