This has probably been done to death but I feel like absolute crap as I have no energy whatsoever. I'm lucky that I've not been sick but have felt pretty nauseous.

Was supposed to go to the in laws today but I just couldn't physically get myself ready so dh has gone alone and I've not moved off the sofa. Dreading work tomorrow.

Totally underestimated how much pregnancy can take out of you! Anyone else feeling the same?

im usually (as my DP puts it) one of them really annoying people that cant sit still and even when the house is spotless and nothing needs doing I will find something......

20 weeks today and only just subsiding....I have never had so little energy in my life! cant compare this time round to my first, I lived with my parents and only worked about 15 hours a week, this time I work 40 hours a week and have a house to run and a 5 year old to look after. I literally used to come in from work in the first trimester and fall asleep! Felt so mean on DS but couldn't control it!

Thanks for the encouragement Reebok that's what my DH keeps saying but I'm just worried about getting behind or that tomorrow will be worse and so I'll feel like I've wasted a sick day. My work are really nice so they wouldn't question it I just haven't been there very long and so don't want to be thought of like I'm taking lots of time off.

newmrs it's hard isn't it when you've got so much to do. Are you able to work from home? I went in today and got lots done but also sent myself lots of work so that if I feel awful tomorrow I can at least have an extra lie in but then still get some work done!

Mine lasted until 17 weeks, I had extreme nausea and felt like I could sleep for a year with no energy.
My son was only 7 months when I found out and I also have a 14,8,7,6 year old.
I'm 38 weeks now and I'm starting to feel awful again.
I did have a sudden bout of energy sun and mon but that's long gone.

Each time, I was seriously zonked in first trimester (work and sleep for first, work, cope goodness only knows how, and sleep for subsequent).

It did get better around the 12-14 week mark, and I hope it does for you too.

(I was seriously sleepy towards the end too).

Yup, first trimester was a killer in both pregnancies but number 2 has been worse as I've never really got my energy back due to low iron levels. 36 weeks now so have the fun of insomnia for the next few weeks! It'll all be worth it in the end!
