got to be the smelly fuzzy soft baby head... or the snuffly contented noise they make when they find your nipple!

hercules · 19/05/2004 17:08

They sound a bit like men

Thomcat · 19/05/2004 17:17

Yes nipple searching - lovely, as described by others.

Surge of overpowering love you feel

The feeling of utter pride at having produced such a perfect little being

beansprout · 19/05/2004 17:26

Ahhh - as a mum in waiting, who is fretting about a million things, thanks for reminding me what this whole business is REALLY about

piglit · 19/05/2004 17:37

This is making me soooo broody - and I have 20 weeks to go!!

Thomcat · 19/05/2004 17:37

Ahh Beansprout, bless, don't fret sweet. How long have you got to go?

I used to sit in her nursery, and open the wardrobe and look at all the little folded vests and slepsuits etc and love it. Sitting there imaging what ius was going to be like to have that empty cot have a little baby in it, my baby!

People always said it changes your life for ever and I always took that as a negative expression, I didn't realise that it would change for the better and make your life worth livng, make every moment a wonderful one.

Girly · 19/05/2004 17:52

the way they fit in the crook of your are and sigh contentdly as they snuggle and fall asleep.

How absolutley fascinating they are!

that feeling you get when you cannot believe that YOU made that, iyswim!

Metrobaby · 19/05/2004 19:10

Their drunken contented sleepy faces when they have had a belley full of milk

Clayhead · 19/05/2004 19:23

Metrobaby, you beat me too it! I loved the way mine looked drunk on milk!

Nutcracker · 19/05/2004 19:31

I love the way they chuckle in their sleep when they've got wind

GeorginaA · 19/05/2004 19:36

The little grumpy frowny face when just fallen asleep.

The relaxed open mouth flop, with their head hanging over your arm when in deep sleep.

The kitten-like mews in their sleep.

Can you tell I just like my babes to SLEEP DAMNIT CHILD?!!

prufrock · 19/05/2004 22:14

Oh yes to all of these, and
The Thunderbird puppet arm movements when he gets excited.
The way he curls up his legs and tucks in his arms when sleeping on my chest
The way he looks at me with one eye open when he's waking up

sweetkitty · 19/05/2004 22:21

awww can't wait for mine now thought i was the only one who opens the drawers just for a peek at the little clothes

beansprout · 20/05/2004 08:28

Thomcat - am due on the same day as the Piglit, so 20 weeks for me too! I am already in love with the little movements in my belly - I can only imagine how I will feel in October!!

SpringChicken · 20/05/2004 11:24

Me either - cannot wait.
7 weeks and 2 days to go.

I keep sneaking into the nursery and swinging the crib and imagining what it will be like to actually have a little baby in there - i don't think it has actually sunk in yet that in 7 weeks time (ish) there is going to be a new little person in my life

Thomcat · 20/05/2004 13:48

Aggggh, feel So excited for you. Oh that waiting, nesting thing, trying to imagine what'll it'll be like. It's gpoinmg to be great!

I was at the hosie with lots this morning and caught myself in the reflection of the glass coridor and just looked at myself and smiled at the image of me, a mum, pushing my baby girl ina buggy. Can't imagine what life was like before and have felt like that since the moment she came into our lives So happy for all you lovley pregnant ladies
