Parsley?

Is parsley (in stuffing for example) safe to eat or not? I've read conflicting information online and there's nothing on NHS website. I've heard it's an emmenagogue and whilst I'm being careful with my diet, I don't want to be overly cautious if unnecessary. Basically, is it ok to have stuffing with parsley in it on Christmas Day? 😆

Bless. Eat the stuffing. As with everything - moderation is key. And I don't think you're gonna overdose on parsley [santa]

Flipping 'eck, not heard that one before! It's fine. If it isn't on the bus banned foods list you can eat it.

I say 'banned' but really mean 'advised not to eat'

Parsley is safe to eat, it's the vitamin c that you are thinking of. You would need to eat all the parsley in about 50 supermarkets for it to be an issue....

Excessive levels of vitamin c can cause contractions, but again you would need crazy levels - like 10,000 mg a day and all vitamin c tablets in UK contain flavonoids to counteract this.

A bit of parsley in bog standard stuffing, you will be fine!
