21 weeks and worrying about movement

My baby doesn't always seem very active, this will be my second and I can't really remember how much I felt with my first at this stage. I know your not supposed to start counting kicks yet but when he does kick my belly is actually moving. Some days he is quiet and it worries me a lot. Even laying in bed at night he doesn't really start going mad at all and I won't always feel him move when I go to bed. Please someone just tell me I'm being a panicky mum :( all scans have been fine

21 weeks is very early. Movements are still pretty unreliable at this stage. Try not to worry.

I remember worrying with my second too. I really couldn't remember how much my first child moved at the same stage. But everything was fine and the more the pregnancy progressed, the baby's movements got a lot more predictable.

chloe movement for me was very irregular at 21 weeks, I'm just starting to feel it everyday at 23/24 weeks. I think 21 weeks is still quite early. And don't worry, we all have a panic every so often - all part of being pregnant

He still has lots of room to hide at this stage, if he's more towards your back you wouldn't be able to feel movements. I wouldn't worry too much yet.

I'll be 21 weeks tomorrow and despite having felt the odd (subtle) movement a good few weeks ago I only felt strong ones a few days ago, and there isn't any great regularity to it - the way I see it it's still a big swimming pool and the baby doesn't always touch the sides!

28 weeks here and my baby is very lazy. Some days baby is punching to get out other days it's a soft rub (of what I think may be baby butt) along my belly a few times

Thanks all. He was kicking a lot this morning at half 4 so my mind is at ease. He's also moved a lot today. So panicky with this pregnancy and he's my second!
