Yes. I only ever get heartburn in an unpregnant state if I have eaten too many Pringles, so very rarely and always self-inflicted.

TwinkleInSantasEye · 14/12/2006 23:26

Yes, it was almost constant for me during the last trimester. Had to attempt to sleep with about 5 pillows. As soon as I had DS it was gone, just like that.

chocolaterobin · 14/12/2006 23:29

Hi,

I just posted yesterday asking for any remedies, I have the worst case of it ever!! Used to be so totally unsympathetic when DH used to come home complaining of it until now. Had it with DS last year and now at 30weeks have it baaaaaad! Went to the Dr. this evening who gave me yet more Gaviscon (which is not working) and some Rantidine tablets (also not working) I am at my wits end...yoghurt, milk, mint tea...nothing helping, only v.temporary relief much to my dismay....

Gosh, bet you wished you'd never asked, sorry!

chocolaterobin · 14/12/2006 23:31

Box after box after box of rennie helped me with ds!

CR..twas gorgeous...i am very full

did wonder re posting in pregnancy...!! would be odd to have it as an early syptom, usuall later on, with nausea and vomiting first!

wee on a stick time???

Harry2007 · 14/12/2006 23:33

Don't know if this helps, but I found that avoiding anything with orange flavouring really helped with heartburn. If I so much as drink a glass of orange squash before going to bed, the heartburn will actually make me sick in my sleep - sorry if TMI!

ChaCha · 14/12/2006 23:33

LOL

I have been going through them like there's no tomorrow too...they make me vomit after a while...then the heartburn seems better, or rather, the big elephant on my chest has temporarily shifted it's big butt...

ChaCha · 14/12/2006 23:35

Ohhhh...you must test Duh, i missed the point!

chocolaterobin · 14/12/2006 23:37

Sorry, forgot to say, only get it whilst pregnant - didn't know what heartburn felt like before!

MrsSpoon · 14/12/2006 23:56

I missed the point too. Must add to my comment that for me heartburn was not particularly related to the size of the bump (although it did get worse as the bump got bigger) but was a hormonal thing from very early on.

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 15/12/2006 00:40

I only get it in pregnancy, with this pregnancy I started drinking mint tea everyday when I start to feel bad, and it takes the pain away.

3xamum · 15/12/2006 01:05

Yep heartburn exclusive to pregnancy. I think the doctor was starting to get a bit concerned on my excessive use of Gaviscon!
