Very slow leaking waters?

I think know my waters are leaking very slowly, sort of less than a pad in a 12 hours. Community Midwife was sure yesterday and sent me in to labour ward as I am elective c section and she's breech. Labour ward clearly thought I was mad as only minimal tightening for and no pool of water on internal examination and sent us home after a couple of hours.
I think it is continuing today though...... I don't want to waste everyone's time again (or feel like a fool) , but am worried about infection etc. WWYD?

Phone them again and insist to be seen. If theirs any chance it's your waters and baby is breech then I would

I'd ask to be checked again. I was similar, constantly feeling damp for the last week of pregnancy but MW said it was most likely a leaky bladder or thin discharge. Had to have waters broken just before delivery and when the sac broke there was next to no fluid left.

If you have a pad on and its damp, keep it on and show them when you get there

Have you smelt the pad? I remember being shocked when a doctor did this when I was pregnant with my first. Most of my waters went, then continued to drip for 2 weeks before prem labour. I had to be monitored every second day.

Sorry should have said, if its waters, it will smell sweet. Def not like wee or discharge.

Happened to me! I got out of bed and felt a very slight trickle which I initially thought was wee. But then my knickers kept feeling damp no matter how many times I put clean ones on. So I went to get checked out, and MW confirmed it was my waters breaking very slowly - like a slow puncture on a tyre, and as my baby was moving, parts of her body were blocking the tiny hole in the sac, so it would stop trickling for a while until she moved again and exposed the "puncture".
I was induced the next day to reduce the risk of infection.

Yup, sounds likely then. Def go back and get checked again, you need to be monitored closely if it is.

When my waters were trickling they did a swab which was like a preg test for waters.

She tested the liquid on a stick and it came back positive, can you ask for that?

Don't be fobbed off about this! It is potentially very serious. My dd was very ill and I had a horrendous birth, all preceded by 4 days of trickling waters. The hospital I had her at told me that they changed their policy of inducing within 24 hours instead of "waiting and seeing" between her birth in 2001 and my son's birth in 2003.

Be firm and be adamant. Ask for those swabs which can detect amniotic fluid, as mentioned by a pp.

I had a very slow leak of my waters starting in week 32 which was quite scary. I kept waking up in the morning feeling a bit wet so phoned the midwife who was quite dismissive (prior to that I'd called concerned my plug had gone - again dismissed as discharge I think due to my term). When I called hospital I was told I could go to in if I wanted the comfort of knowing for sure all was well but they thought I might just be wetting myself(!) They did a swab test and it was indeed my waters.

The test is a bit like a pregnancy test so you find out quickly. If in doubt push for them to do the test. In my case I was given antibiotics to prevent infection and had my baby at 36 weeks. I'm really glad I stuck to my guns.

Thanks guys, I went in last night and this time they did the swab test (why on earth didn't they do that on Friday?) which was negative for amniotic fluid. I feel so much better and can stop panicking about infections. Oh, and she's turned again and is now facing the right way. I clearly have no muscle tone!
