Almost 5 weeks pregnant so very, very early. Went to doctors to confirm on Wednesday. Have been having mild, stretching, AF type cramps since the day my period was due but was told this was normal. Today, however at around 12 o'clock I wiped after I'd been to the toilet and saw some blood on the paper, it was streaky pinky/red and looked to have a little bit of mucus in it.

I've had a couple of cramps but very, very mild, more of a bloated feeling. It does feel quite 'heavy' down there.

I went to the toilet about half an hour ago and again had some blood but just streaks.
I'm going to the doctors in the morning but I'm absolutely terrified.

My first pregnancy was a miscarriage but I was heavy from start until finish and had moderate but unmistakeable cramps.

I did have a slight bleed with DD around this stage. I was sent to our local EPU (which is an hour away) a good week after I'd reported the bleeding to my MW and all turned out to be fine.

I'm worried sick here and I suppose I just need my mind putting at rest.

We live on a farm so he's nearby but his mum has demanded that he gets some work done today, she doesn't know about the m/c but would be less than sympathetic if she did.

I'm reluctant to tell my mum or anyone else. I'm overweight and she has a real chip on her shoulder about it - if I told her about the m/c she would tell me it was weight related. I just don't need that right now.

That's awful. Your weight has nothing to do with it. IF something goes wrong, it is almost always because something wasn't right, sadly.

How are you doing now?

BuffaloCustardbath · 20/12/2015 17:05

Really sorry to read this Emma, how are you this evening?

ToddlerTantrums · 20/12/2015 17:11

I hope you're doing ok Emma Thanks

Still bleeding and cramping. Thank you all for asking it means a lot. I'm certain I've miscarried.

My mum came round today and noticed the pregnacare on the work top I told her straight away that's thought I'd lost it. She hugged me and then literally 15 minutes after that told my that if I'm tryin to conceive then I need to be at a 'normal' weight as my body has the new baby to support as well as my extra weight. She also rather stupidly made a comment about African women who don't carry any weight just 'pop them out'

She could see how upset I was. DSD has been winding me up today too. She has issues with jealous and never lets her dad go anywhere near me, it doesn't usually bother me but I've struggled to bite my tongue today. I can't even hug my partner because she's kicking off and I need those hugs today.

Down in the dumps

How are you doing today? So sorry this is happening but keeping everything crossed that it doesn't mean anything

Emmawemmawoowah · 21/12/2015 15:42

I rang the GP and spoke to him. He said that I'm probably miscarrying as before 7 weeks is usually when this happens.

He didn't sound too concerned and didn't say that he wanted to see me but to get back in touch if I was worried about anything at all.

I think I'm over the worst of the bleeding. It's still going on but nowhere near as heavy as last night/this morning.

I still 'feel' pregnant, funny as it sounds but I think that's more wishful thinking than anything else x

You may well still be, but I think if you can prepare yourself for the worst, it will be a start. Is the GP going to send you for a scan?

Such rotten timing too :((
