Hey everyone in just wondering have any of you suffered from a sharp stitch on your left side and then found out you where pregnant?

...

Pretty sure a stitch is just a stitch.

Nikkilouise21 · 17/12/2015 19:35

It doesn't feel like a stitch though it only lasts about 10-15 seconds and goes but then I get a ache all across my stomach

Er. It's a stitch. Since when is that a symptom.Confused

Nikkilouise21 · 17/12/2015 19:37

I saw something the other day that said it is I'm asking for advice not to be made out in stupid

Well. TBH, you need to take a test.

Getting into the realms of 'can a stitch be a symptom' , 'can a sweaty lip be a symptom' is crazy if you weren't ttc and emotionally soul destroying if you are.

amysmummy12345 · 17/12/2015 19:56

i had this with DD1 and was sent for an early pregnancy scan to rule out ectopic pregnancy. Might be worth ringing GP/midwife for their take on things?

Just re-read your post and realised you're not actually sure you're pregnant though Confused

I would have thought that a pregnancy sympton of being quite far along though. Do a pregnancy test.

socktastic · 17/12/2015 20:27

Could it be ovulation pain? I certainly feel a stitch like pain when I ovulate. If you are sign spotting you're probably more likely to notice it.

goodnightdarthvader1 · 17/12/2015 21:19

Whoa. You mean you're looking for people to diagnose pregnancy based on a stitch?!

FGS. These threads are being more and more obscure. Do a test!

themumfairy · 17/12/2015 21:45

I had stitch like pain in my left side and the midwife said it was round ligament pain. I was 8+ weeks though so not sure if you can get it before.
How far along could you be? I was ttc for 9 months so know how hard it is. I was a symptom spotter and convinced myself every month I was.

Oysterbabe · 17/12/2015 21:49

I get that quite often. I am 34 weeks though.

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 17/12/2015 21:51

Mumsnet doesn't do this sort of stuff well I'm afraid. There are LOADS of other sites where you will find others desperate to talk about symptoms.

Personally the only symptom I could ever rely on was creamy discharge a few days before my period was due (meaning my progesterone levels were still high). Anything else was just nonsense.

maybebabybee · 17/12/2015 21:52

Seriously OP just take a test. Symptom spotting won't help. The month I got my bfp I had zero symptoms.

GoApeShit · 17/12/2015 21:58

For fucks sake.

Hi Iam new to this, But also looking for answers to this problem. Iam 24 weeks pregnant. Since yesterday I've had a stitch like pain on my left side and hasn't went away, baby moving loads. Just don't want to waste the doctors appointment if it's common. Help

toohardtothinkofaname · 18/12/2015 07:18

Mummytobe, completely normal.

Mummy2be1987 · 18/12/2015 07:21

Thank god, am going crazy with worry here, I just hope it goes away soon. Trying to rest as much as possible
