when to tell people???

I will be 11 weeks Xmas day and my partner wants to tell people then? What do people recommend do you think it will be okay or should I wait till after the scan?

I'll be 12w 4d on xmas day. We're having our scan on Tuesday and if all is well my OH wants to tell our close family on xmas day whilst they are in the area.

We've not told anyone yet, it's been so hard because I've been so ill. We decided not to tell anyone because if we had a mc we'd not want to tell anyone about it.

If our scan had been scheduled for after xmas we'd have gone for a private scan. I think it'd put your mind at rest and you could relax for xmas :)

I can't hide it at xmas - so much I can't have! It'll be easier to tell my close family and they'll be there if anything goes wrong. Less stressful. I'll be 10 weeks.

I told my immediate family (and dps) straight away because we were so excited.

Also like mellmumma I had to tell work straight away because they have to do a whole risk assessment to minimise the risk of physical violence towards me (I'm a mental health nurse). As soon as my name stopped appearing on the response team people knew so everyone has known at work since I was about 6 weeks.
