I know technically I could be pregnant another 3 weeks BUT I have been having pre/false labour for last couple of weeks. Little man is engaged and has been for a week now MW said she can just feel his chin. The.problem I now have is where he is sitting soooo low I cant wee properly which means as soon as I walk for longer than a few minutes my bladder.empties itself 😞 I cant do anything. Its a total loss of control so even a pad cant absorb it (tmi sorry)

I know in this area they don't routinely do sweeps until 41 weeks but tbh I cant be incontinent for another fortnight. Just wondered if anyone had successfully requested one in this area or somewhere with similar rules I'm in the southwest.

Its so frustrating 😞
I'm booked for an homebirth so that's been set-up for last two weeks. When they were initially refusing sweep yesterday I was a bit like 'of I'd gone into labour two weeks ago you would of allowed me to deliver at home no questions asked because I count as 'term' but asked to help someone who is clearly struggling and now they need to be well over 40 weeks 😒
Sometimes u have to wonder if they thought it was all a bit of a joke when they were writing their policies!

its frustrating when it all depends on where you live for example i can have my sweep at 38 weeks yet others need to wait till 40 or even 41 weeks. in the past couple of hours I've since had mild cramps and lower back ache (but then I've had that on and off for days) and had a bit of pale pink discharge when i last went to the loo. so who knows if anything can/will happen soon. my hubby is offshore till tuesday so I'm kind of hoping to wait till then to have the baby but i also want him out now :-/

With dc4 they started to do sweeps at 39 weeks as dc3 was 10lb 8 and I was worried about how big dc4 was going to be. It was not a good idea I was in slow labour for a week I had 3 sweeps between 39 and 40 weeks I was exhausted from all the contractions it wasn't pleasant!!

I think that's the hardest bit...postcode lottery with maternity care 😞
With number 4 it took three sweeps over 5 days starting at 39 weeks but it worked. Psychologically I felt better too as they were helping me not ignoring my spd/pgp.
All the phone calls for referrals I was told I would get today though haven't happened....will be back on the phone tomorrow to see what happens...
