waters leaking?

I'm 38+2 weeks. I always wear a panty liner with me having a lot of discharge and tonight I've noticed the smell is quite sweet similar to how I remember my breast pads smelt when my breasts leaked when I previously breastfed. I've felt damp down there for a day or 2 but just put it down to increased discharge. I'll see how it is over night and tomorrow. I'm seeing my midwife on Thursday anyway. But just thought I'd check if any of you ladies know how it smells? Tia

I can't remember the smell but I was told to lay down flat for half an hour, then stand up. If there's a little gush it's probably your waters. It was with mine (totally unexpected, only 35 weeks) and ds was born 3 hours later.

My previous 2 were 16 days and 12 days overdue....I don't know if this is just wishful thinking as I'm totally done being pregnant now lol
