Hi, it's my first pregnancy and I've a traditional December rotten cold. I've been feeling dizzy and had to come home from work - scared I'll fall and hurt the wee guy! Should I be worried? Or is it just bebecause I'm run down and not sleeping too well? Thanks!

I had dizziness/light headedness a while ago and went to Drs. The pee test thing (for infections etc) came back fine. The dr told me to drink more water and since I have upped it I don't get the dizziness/light headedness

For me it was dehydration and low blood pressure that caused the dizziness. I'd recommend drinking plenty and getting up very slowly. Rest up.

Thanks. I probably do need to drink more water at work. I'm on my feet all day and don't always get proper breaks.

Get some iron tablets could be abit anemic. I had it with my daughter I fainted and was so scared I never went out alone xx

Fainting/dizziness is common in pregnancy but not nice! Low blood pressure was a cause for me, although I had low BP and have previously fainted before I was pregnant also.
Make sure you're not too hot, that you're eating well/regularly and drinking plenty. I used to eat ready salted crisps as I think the salt is meant to help.
If you're worried about anaemia the GP or midwife can check iron levels for you.

Drink more water and eat a little something (healthy!) every two hours. Worked for me.

Was low blood pressure and a bit of anaemia for me too

Thanks everyone! I'm back at the midwife next week and getting (yet more) blood tests done anyway so I'll mention it to her then. In the meantime I shall try to get regular breaks so I can eat and drink.
