With every pregnancy? I am getting unnerved with the relatively mild nausea, as I was very sick with DC2, though this was about 14 years ago.

Worried it is a bad sign.

DS1 was sick for about a week before I found out.
DD was sick loads at the beginning and again at the end.
DS2 was sick all the way through.

I've been feeling sick again in the morning recently. It is just a bug though as my period arrived before. It did leave me panic stricken for a bit though! (DS2 is only 18 weeks and DD isnt quite 2 yet!--

I wouldn't worry. Sickness varies from pregnancy to pregnancy, not woman to woman.

Allisgood1 · 11/12/2015 00:53

NO

1st: sick as anything for 16 weeks
2nd;m : Sick until about 14 weeks but did not miss as much work
3rd: barely any sickness and missed hardly any work. I was convinced I was having a mc. Instead I was just having a boy instead Smile

novemberchild · 11/12/2015 00:59

Reassuring answers! I have a girl and a boy - I was sicker with the boy.

Mine was different each time (7 pregnancies, 5 boys, 2 miscarriages)

pg 1 - no sickness at all - mc at 12 weeks
pg 2 - sick 20+ times a day until 14 weeks, 3-5 times a day until 21 weeks, only if I ate certain foods until 30 weeks - DS1
pg 3 - sick 5 times a day until 30 weeks - DS2
pg 4 - sick 10 times a day until waters broke - DS3
pg 5 - sick 2-3 times a day until 11 weeks - mc at 13 weeks
pg 6 - sick 5-7 times a day until waters broke - DS4
pg 7 - sick 10 times a day until 10 days after birth, still can't eat certain foods 18 months later - DS5

No - barely sick at all in first pregnancy (perfectly healthy boy). This time I threw up every day for 12/13 weeks (girl).

BikeRunSki · 11/12/2015 06:57

I had hyperemisis in both pg. The symptoms and timings were identical both times.,

KatyN · 11/12/2015 07:11

Nope, first time mid nausea (boy), this time hg and sginned off work for 5 weeks, anti sickness medication, horrific (pretty sure she's a girl just waiting for her to make an appearance).

Also had totally different other symptoms.. My hips/back were much worse last time. This time I'm only starting to waddle at 38 weeks.

Totally different pregnancies for me.
1st: nausea up to 14 weeks
2nd: very sick everyday and still going at 17 weeks.
Totally agree that every pregnancy is different.

QforCucumber · 11/12/2015 07:18

1st pregnancy - sick 24 hours a day, mmc at 8 weeks.
This pregnancy no sickness other than some mild nausea - now 27 weeks.

SevenSeconds · 11/12/2015 07:20

For me the sickness got worse each time. Went from mild nausea with DC1 to full on vomiting with DC3.

YouMakeMyDreams · 11/12/2015 07:28

1st sick constantly for 9 months
2nd nausea for about 3 months was horrible would rather have just been sick.
3rd no nausea or sickness at all.

SummerMonths · 11/12/2015 07:33

DD1: v nauseated and occasionally sick from 4-16 weeks
DD2: nausea didn't start til 7 weeks and finished at 14 but was bloody awful
DS: mild nausea every now and then between 6-12 weeks

SausageSmuggler · 11/12/2015 10:47

No, all completely different. DS I was sick/nauseous every 1-2 days. DD1 I felt a bit sick for a couple of weeks but then at week 10 all symptoms disappeared completely. DD2 I had horrendous sickness from about the day after I got a bfp till approx 20 weeks :(

MoreGilmoreGirls · 11/12/2015 10:52

I'm 7wks with 2nd pregnancy and this time it's much worse Sad

EvansOvalPiesYumYum · 11/12/2015 11:01

First pregnancy for me was the worst, I'm surprised I ever went for it again. Throwing up pretty much 24 hrs a day for 16 weeks (and when not vomiting, feeling absolutely dreadful and having to lie down anywhere I could). Just about the most awful migraine headaches (I suffer with migraine anyway, but the pain when pregnant with DD was indescribable. I honestly thought I had a brain tumour and was going to die).

Second pregnancy (DS), only had mild nausea a couple of times over some weeks (and sciatica during 2nd and 3rd trimesters) but that wasn't nearly as bad as the sickness and migraines with first pregnancy.

So, symptoms are all different, for different women, so don't be worried. Congratulations Flowers

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 11/12/2015 11:14

Pg 1/2:Pretty standard morning sickness, subsided at about 16 weeks iirc. Pg 3: 'Morning Diahorrea'!! Shock I had very mild nausea but the diahorrea was horrendous - I was limited to only going out when necessary (school run) and basically was housebound for months as I'd literally shit myself at the drop of a hat - sorry if tmi! (First 2 pg boys 3rd girl).

Oh and congratulations! Thanks Smile

novemberchild · 12/12/2015 00:27

Thank you, everyone.

Sadly, for me, I was right to be worried. I lost my baby this morning. I'm very sad.

Bloody Hell - so sorry, November Flowers

MrsBartlettforthewin · 14/12/2015 21:29

DD no sickness at all
DS1 feeling very sick all day long but not much actual sickness.
DS2 (current pregnancy) all the sickness, first 4 months was soooo rough.

skankingpiglet · 15/12/2015 15:12

1st pregnancy (DD) I was constantly nauseated for the first 16 weeks, although rarely sick. Maybe 5 times in total?
2nd time around now, and I'm only 11wks in, but I have actually felt more sick than last time (didn't think it was possible) and have thrown up far more. I've also had horrific headaches which I definitely didn't have before, but have managed to dodge sore boobs... Thankfully the sick feeling improved a week ago, but I'm still throwing up just with far less notice to find a loo now.
A friend who is pregnant with #2 said she never really understood the whole sickness thing people would bang on about with her first, until she fell pregnant with the second. I think she gets it now Grin

Eminado · 15/12/2015 15:25

So sorry november Flowers
