Student Midwife?

Has anyone has a student midwife following them? Or in less stalkerish terms, is anyone a caseholding client?
At my last few midwife appointments, there's been a student with her the last few times checking my BP etc... When I went this week they asked if I was happy for her to be a part of things the rest of the way, coming to my growth scans etc, and eventually come to the birth.
I said yes because everyone has to start somewhere and she's a lovely girl... But just wondered about other people's experiences really?

I have a student midwife with me at the moment (first pg, 31 weeks). It's been great as she's been to all of my appointments, which has meant that even though the midwife I was initially assigned has moved to a different team, I still feel like I have the continuity of care. I think a lot of it comes down to individual personalities - we clicked very quickly, and I'm happy to have her at my appointments and present at the birth. I also feel like I've got another person besides DH that can be aware of what I want during labour, so hopefully that will help.
