Can I do my gel nails?

I heard that some hospitals make you take it off (incase of elcs??).

I'm planning birth on birthing centre ward and am 38+5

Does anyone know for sure?

In case of theatre bookings or emergency section u aren't meant to have any sort of nail varnish on at all due to the fact that a change in the colour of ur finger tips (under nail bed) is sometimes an indicator of issues xx

If you were going in to theatre for a routine op you would be asked to remove nail varnish x

I'd say leave it off, just in case.

And perhaps getting it redone can be a post-delivery treat.

You can have polish on toes but not on fingers as they need to measure your blood oxygen level and they'll put the monitor on your finger.

Don't waste your manicure!

Damn it! That was going to be a job for tomorrow and a pick me up.

I can't quite reach my toes comfortably:(
