I felt a bit like I had car sickness but was o/wise fine.

WigWamBahhumbug · 12/12/2006 11:53

Not everyone gets sickness ... just count your blessings and enjoy!

lulumama · 12/12/2006 11:53

not everyone has morning sickness..some women have absolutely no pregnancy symptoms at all.......

My SIL never had a day os sickness in either pregnancy...it is ok....

please don;t worry

also, sickness tends to ease off towards the second trimester anyway, so don;t be concerned...x

Mumpbump · 12/12/2006 11:53

I hardly had any m/s with ds1 - just a vague feeling of nausea from time to time. Had a great pg though!! Lucky you...

Miaou · 12/12/2006 11:53

Seriously though, don't worry! Not everyone has morning sickness - I think it's about 2/3rds of women, which leaves a third without it.

Nemoinapeartree · 12/12/2006 11:55

nadine I havent had anything with this baby and its my 3rd..really suffered with DD and with DS I was nauseas so enjoy. Althouhg it is a bit weird as am now 35wks and apart from fact can feel baby moving and am now slowing down a little it has been a very easy pregnancy!!!

Severe hyperemesis with my 2nd (dd)
2 days of sickness at 8 wks this time (I'm 26 wks and am putting clever money on it being a boy )
it varies wildy
So lucky lucky you

dingdonglapinroseonhigh · 12/12/2006 12:13

I felt a bit queasy at times but no sickness and I was carrying twins, which is mean to make it alot worse so I'm v pleased

dingdonglapinroseonhigh · 12/12/2006 12:13

meanT even!

nadinetd · 12/12/2006 12:15

with no sickness are u more ikely to have a boy or is that all old wives tales?

OP posts:
lloydie · 12/12/2006 12:41

I didn't have any sickness or any other pregnancy symptoms (apart from a growing belly) with my first and she's a girl. So I wouldn't put too much money on the "no sickness, its a boy" thing. Also Im pg again and don't have any symptoms this time either!

dingdonglapinroseonhigh · 12/12/2006 12:42

Well, I have twin girls, no sickness, my nanny had dreadful sickness & is expecting a boy, so will guess at old wives tale!

PortAndLemonaid · 12/12/2006 12:43

Only around 50% of women get morning sickness. It's just that the 50% who don't tend to keep quiet about it or they get lynched by the 50% who do...

nadinetd · 13/12/2006 10:03

i guess as usually pregnancy symptoms are sickness we all expect it and i was happy when i didnt get it but then ur mind starts racing and panicing, oh well heres to a happy healthy pregnancy for us all x

Count your lucky stars and don't worry about it.

Lizzylou · 13/12/2006 10:07

I had no sickness at all with DS1 and felt sick a lot with DS2 (only actually sick a handful of times).....completely different pregnancies with both, and carried completely differently too.

Enjoy!

GlennCloseAsCruellaDeVille · 13/12/2006 10:08

i have three children and never had sickness

AmieR · 13/12/2006 10:43

I think every pregnancy is different, from what I've read on MN, this is my first so I can't offer too much advice from my wealth of experience!

But lots of women, as said, do enjoy pregnancies without the MS.

I had a few weeks of everyday at about 12 weeks, then nothing till two weeks ago, I'm verging on 29 weeks! I'm a little more worried about it at the moment as I hate the straining on my tummy.

But please, don't worry and enjoy it!

mamijacacalys · 13/12/2006 10:48

Never had any sickness with either DS or DD. Was remarkably fine and blooming throughout both pregnancies, apart from the tiredness at the end. So would agree that the sex does not determine how 'sick' you'll be.

BTW a friend of mine was 5 months pg before she realised - obviously had no symptoms (she was a bit embarassed about not realising as she is a lawyer in her 30s and thought it only happened to naive teens!)

Don't worry, relax and enjoy your pregnancy . Try store your energy for when the baby comes.

MKGnearlyimmaculateconception · 14/12/2006 03:17

This is my second pregnancy and I haven't puked with either. However, what I miss in nausea I make up for in fatigue. Getting dressed in the morning makes me want to take a nap.

colinandcaitlinsmommy · 14/12/2006 04:07

I wasn't sick with either DS or DD. I think I paid for it with early weight gain, though.

Uki · 14/12/2006 08:36

I don't have ms either. I'm only 5 weeks but never had it with my ds or m/c pregnancies, so i guess i don't get it. Although it also makes me worry.
Have to agree with MGK though definately make up for it in tiredness. Feel likee i've been hit by a truck, can bearly lift my limbs I'm so tired.

nadinetd · 14/12/2006 09:32

i get really restless legs dont know if thats a sign of pregnancy and really tired and the smell of thought of garic makes me ill x my sister had awful sickness for full 9 month with all 3 of her girls so i think i expected to get the same x
i have had some slight niggly cramps though like slight period pains also dont know if this is normal x anyone else had that x
