It is so well written and I feel very accurate.

So.... It's calling on society to reinstate a lying in period? Didn't find that that helpful. Are you the author?

Runningupthathill82 · 01/12/2015 16:54

It's very badly written indeed.

This is an American article, yes? In the UK most women have a decent chunk of paid maternity leave and partners can take 2 weeks of paternity leave to facilitate care in the early weeks.

Badly written article if I'm honest. Don't understand why it's relevant or what the point to it is?

Quite an odd article and not sure what point its trying to make?
The one bit i'd agree with is the 'loneliness' - despite my husband being around, and a fabulous NCT support group, i found it to be terribly lonely at times in the first few months. Perhaps in part because i live away from family and friends.
I'm not sure what discussion its trying to raise though - is it around american mat leave? or a societal shift?
