Hi I'm upset! Went to the loo tonight and had blood on the tissue. It wasn't bright red more pinkish, but I do have unsettled stomach as well! Panicking a bit as due to have my first scan next week and not had any issues up to this weekend! I have just turned 36 in October don't have any other kids, but I did have a miscarriage 2 years ago at 9 weeks with the same partner which upset us a lot. I had just started to allow myself to get happy ( I had a fear of losing the baby again at first) about this pregnancy. The last pregnancy wasn't planned we had just started going out. Whereas this one was definitely and love my partner to bits. Just worried this is the start of losing it again, trying my best to keep calm but can't sleep. Has anyone else had anything similar at around 12 weeks.. I'm hoping your going to say I'm just panicking and all will be okay

Hi am sure you will have more informed replies but didn't want to leave you waiting and worrying. I have 2 DC and had some bleeding in both pregnancies. It is very common and unless you bleed a lot and have pains / cramps it really may be nothing to worry about at all.
But Of course you will worry and more so due to previous mc.
Try to rest and seek advice tomorrow - you can see an EPU who can scan you there and then so you know what is happening. Will think of you as I know it's very worrying.

Aww thanks @liveinthepresent... I just needed some reassurance. I just really don't want it to leave us, we are so happy about the pregnancy, I don't think I would be strong enough to go through this again if I did loose the baby. Really couldn't go through a mc again. Going to do as your name says and live in the present... Right now I'm pregnant, just going o try to keep cool and positive all be okay xxxx thanks for responding, it does helpxxxx

Poor you! I know that feeling of horror when you see blood on the tissue. The PP is right see if you can be seen at an EPU otherwise you will worry until your scan. FWIW I bled almost every day up to 9 weeks. Thought it had cleared up and then began spotting again the week of my 12 week scan. All was fine. One of the sonographers though the blood may have come from a 'bruise' created at implantation. Wishing you all the best.

I had pink bleeding during my 12 week scan, the sonographer couldn't see a reason for it, all was fine and my DD is six months old now. Contact your local EPU to see if they can arrange an earlier scan to put your mind at ease.

Hey everyone thanks for your advice feeling better now haven't had anymore blood. But today was a challenge at work couldn't sleep well last night. Could you give me some other advice about how to tell your boss your pregnant ? I have quite a stressful job as an operations manager. My boss keeps making comments about my weight, dreading telling them I'm pregnant as I'm not sure how they are going to react. What where your experiences ? How did you do it ?
