37+5 and health visitor

As the title says, I'm 37+5 and a health visitor is coming to see me tomorrow at 10am.

Any heads up as to what they do? (This is my 1st)

Just introduce themselves to you and what they offer regarding support for you and baby.
My hv phoned me a few weeks back as they never used to come out before babys ten day handover from midwife.
But they are doing this in most areas.
I was asked If I wanted her to come out to see me.
I declined as this is baby 6 and I have known her for a very long time.
Most hv (all mine including) are lovely.

Thanks Iammad. Wasn't sure if they did any tests etc or snoop around house (cue early tidying up lol) ;)

It's quite a new thing, didn't happen with my 2 year old but I did get a visit with my 9 month old.

From what I remember it's just a chat type thing, she asked where I was giving birth, how was I planning to feed etc and no they don't want to look around.
It's more an advice thing and to give mom's chance to get to know the hv and ask anything they're unsure about.
