BH or start of labour.....?

I know I should phone the midwife but I don't want to call them if I'm being crazy.

I'll start from the beginning. Friday night I had a lot of discharge suddenly appear, it was a bit thicker than normal but no colour or oder so didn't think nothing of it. while I was sorting tea out I had three rounds of really bad shooting pains down there which took my breath away. they stopped and started again about half hour later. OH ran me a bath to see if that'll help. they eased a bit and wasn't as frequent. I went to bed and was woken up a few times with the pain. Saturday seemed to be fine, we went out but I started getting the back ache again and a few cramps. throughout the night I had a few sharp pains again. from about 12 last night till half 5 this morning I've been having horrible back pain and shooting pains every 15 to 20 mins. I took some paracetamol and that didn't touch it. also the past couple of days I have been having looser bowel movements (sorry tmi) nothing runny just softer and more frequent. I'm hoping they are just bad BH as at the moment I've just got horrible back pain.

I'm also 34 weeks today

Honestly huni because you are only 34 weeks it might be an idea just to phone midwife or delivery suite for advice. Could be just BH but you don't know that darling just a quick phone call to be on the safe side.

They won't think your being crazy, I'm 38 weeks with my 3rd and I still phone loads for advice/input as each pregnancy is different. It's what they are there for Hun. Up to you but if you want advice go for it Hun xx

I'm gonna phone them as soon as I know if I have a lift to the hospital as I don't drive. I think it's BH as they aren't frequent.

Quite likely to be BH Hun it sounds like it. See if you can get a lift just incase.

I had 3 weeks of continuous BH, which turned into labour one morning. I'd be ringing the midwife. BH didn't hurt (IME), nor did I get the runs until labour started.

Isn't better to phone first? You might not need a lift if they're happy, conversely they might consider it more urgent. Make the call first, it's what they're there for.

I would agree that as you're only 34 weeks, it's probably better to call for advice, even though it could well be BH. If you were nearer term, I'd probably say wait and see, especially if baby is moving ok.

baby is moving fine. attacking my ribs like he wants to push down to get comfy.

You can feel baby so that's great, see how you go, contact them when they are available and have a lift on stand by if you can just in case they ask to see you.. Can never be to careful Hun but don't worry and try and keep relaxed as much as possible xx

I got my nan to pick me up as my hip just gave way and I fell down the last few steps of the stairs and now can't move. I'm going to the ooh which luckily is the same hospital as triage so if they want me to go in I'll be fine.

Oh darling ok best to be checked over. Hope all goes ok, I landed bum over boob on a school run a few weeks ago, pelvis had a shooting pain and I hit the deck.

Got checked and all fine just loads of grass stains and redness

went to the ooh and been sent to A&E so now waiting to be seen. hate waiting in here haha.

Hope it's OK OP - it does sound like early labour to be honest. Are you still in hosp? BH are rarely if ever painful. Lower backpain in contrast to BH around your tummy is a sign of labour.

A&E went fine was told I bruised my back even though I've been having pains on and off since Friday. when I got home phoned triage and they said it's either BH or the baby engaging more so to just keep an eye on it.
