Hey,

Headaches, swollen hands and feet and hot flushes, anyone else had these at 38 weeks pregnant? I feel a bit rough but is it just general pregnancy or preclampsia? Xx

Definitely give your midwife a call and get checked out - it could be nothing but it could be pre eclampsia and its not worth taking a risk. FWIW with me it was pre eclampsia! 38 weeks is a good time to get it though x

Yes - with 2+ symptoms do not even hesitate. Ring your midwife!

If in doubt get checked out.

CoodleMoodle · 25/11/2015 13:35

Please go and get checked out. Mine started at 40weeks exactly and I felt horrendous until DD was delivered at 40+6. It was nearly very serious but I just didn't realise and thought it was late pregnancy symptoms. It may well be with you!

I really don't want to scare you, but please please please call your midwife asap. Just for peace of mind.

Yes and I didn't know to report them. Had seizures in labour, spent a week in intensive care.
Get checked now!

Thank you very much. Iv just got back from ante natal. All clear!! What a weight off my mind that is.. She thinks I'm coming down with something like a viral infection. Swelling due to the time in my pregnancy ect.

Shocking you had seizures during labour? How scary!!

Thanks all of you, I feel rough but relieved it's not that.. Phew!! Xx

Yes it was very scary! Was a long time ago now (13 years).

I developed pre-eclampsia again at 26 weeks with DD (now 8) who was born safely at 38 weeks, and DS2 (4 months old) at 30ish weeks - he was born at 37 weeks safely.

I cannot scream and shout enough how horrible it was and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

So glad you're ok Smile

Thank you for sharing that. What an eye opener. Il be sure to ring midwife or doc if I feel worried, better safe than sorry. I'm glad your children and you were safe, must have been very terrifying xx
