I'm 36 weeks with twins, in absolute agony form carpal tunnel, general aches and pains, housebound, can barely walk. My sis is also due and just gone into labour. She's had nine of the problems I have had. I want mine out so badly so I can just function as a normal human being again. I'm just feeling really rubbish and hormonal I know, but why couldn't my sprogs give me a break and come first?

I'll go back to bed and pretend I have a social life now.

Hi- so it's been that bad has it? I'm pregnant with twins too but I'm only 7.5 weeks. I feel terrible- constant nausea and throwing up. Hospital have said my hormone levels will be "sky high"! Gets worse then does it? Am concerned as I have a toddler to look after too!

Are u having a c section or are u waiting to go into labour? Do they even let U deliver twins naturally?

Both mine are head down and DCDA so it's all ok for a natural birth. Which is the good news.

Ah sorry you had the sickness. That gets better but be prepared for your feet to hurt and your pelvis to go crack in the night! Xx

Oh so they won't let u go into labour then? You have to be induced? That's not great news as I was induced with my last pregnancy and would really want to avoid it a second time. Does DCDA mean they have their own placenta and sac?

Yeah, they're non identical and separate to each other with own placentas.

It depends how far along you get. They don't normally let twins go past 37 weeks (which is term) as the risk increases dramatically. But the average time is 35 weeks which I am past anyway. I've got 2 little chunky monkeys X

Hi- do u mean the average time to go into labour is 35 weeks or the average time they induce u is 35 weeks? Asking as I have to go to a wedding when I'd be 33 weeks and it's a wedding i absolutely cannot miss.

When did u start to show out of interest? Not keen to announce before I have to, but potentially worried about being ousted by a giant bump. I'm petite too so nowhere to hide it!

Me too, I'm usually 5'3'' and size 8 so I started to show around 9 weeks but it was easily hidden. It got a bit impossible by 12 weeks when they had a growth spurt and by 18 weeks it was perfectly obvious! I look really funny now, babies are all up front (no stretch marks, use clarins stretch mark control, it's amazing) but you can't see it from behind. Then when I turn sideways....!

You sound similar to me. I'm 5 ft 2 and size 8 too! Good to hear about the lack of stretch marks! Is it your first pregnancy? When did u find out it was twins? Were u as shocked as I am now?(only found out recently)

Yes, first babies. Only ones too probably, although the OH wants a little girl already so will see how hormonal I get in a few years!

Found out at 12 week scan. There are twins on my mum's side so it was half expected. Plus I had a big bump for just the one!
