Hypnobirthing CD recommendations

I've heard very positive reports regarding hypnobirthing CDs and books. There seem to be a vast array out there - any recommendations? Unfortunately the classes are a bit out of our price range!

I bought the Natal Hypnotherapy Programme (Hospital/Birth Centre edition). I listened to the hypnotherapy CDs every night, and also a few times a week where I practised the actual meditation. Then just had the music through labour.

It was lovely, so relaxing and positive and it did really help with labour- for the pain, for passing the time and also I found because the music was familiar it was very comforting. I well up now when I play the music because it takes me back to when DD was first born! But it is also good for helping her fall asleep if she's struggling to nap would really recommend it.

I used the Maggie Howell hypnobirthing CD and book. I didn't have the CD with me when in labour, but I used the breathing techniques and other techniques from the book and found them great for managing the pain and keeping me focussed. I had Enya instrumentals for the birth, found that music already familiar to me helped.

I bought the Maggie Howell CD second hand - it was the home birth one but I'm going to be going into hospital for mine, but it doesn't matter.

I am crap at napping and cannot fall asleep during the day, but whenever I put this on when I lie down during the day, I almost always drop off by the end of it. I always seem to sleep through the actual birthing bit, but the booklet reckons it doesn't matter as it's still going in. We'll see in the next few days how relaxed I am during birth very soon hopefully as I think I might be in early labour now...! I've copied the CD to put on my ipod so can take it with me for labour, hopefully it might help me get some rest if labour goes on a while (which it probably will as it's my first).

If nothing else, it'll be useful for helping me nap in future!
