Hey I've been told my first mw appointment is 15th December (over the phone) I asked where and they said Yorkhill. As far as I understand yorkhill has closed down / moved and is actually the childrens hospital. Anyone advise where it now is and if the midwives unit is located in the hospital? I will phone them back and get an address just to be sure, I had thought they would send me a letter for my appointment tbh xx

Although yorkhill is no longer a "hospital" as such it's still being used for clinics etc xx

Clinics are moving into the old children's hospital site at yorkhill. Its its off old Dumbarton road and yorkhill street. Near the kelvingrove art gallery, and kelvin hall. If you called the centralised booking line for maternity they should send out letters confirming your appointments. I would imagine you'll have your scan and be booked in for having your baby at the queen Elizabeth hospital ( south Glasgow hospital). Hope this helps. Congratulations.

The current clinic at the western is moving to Yorkhill at the end of November. I got told my next appointment (this week) will still be at the western then all the rest of them will be at Yorkhill.

The receptionists at the western one are really nice, phone them up and they'll point you in the right direction Smile

You should get a letter confirming your appointment and that will detail where it is. Did they book ur first scan at the central booking as well? I have my appointments at the Vicky but scan will be southern (though am thinking of transferring over to the rah in Paisley)
