Periods after giving birth

Didn't know where else to put this as there isn't a 'recently gave birth' board

How long after giving birth (formula feeding) will it take for my periods to come back? I had a retained placenta with my first baby and needed an ERPC so I have no idea what is 'normal'.

I didn't FF but friends who did got their periods fairly early - about 5/6 weeks PP.

I didn't formula feed but my BF did as she got her period back after about 6 weeks.

I got mine back after 8/9 weeks.

And bar the first fortnight I have formula fed.

I have formula fed two dc and breast fed two dc and my periods have returned within 6 weeks every time.

I'm 8 weeks pp and still no sign. I still haven't fully stopped bleeding though. Should I have stopped bleeding before I can expect a period? At what point should I start to be concerned? I POAS earlier and it was negative so not worried I'm pregnant again.

I'm exclusively breast feeding and had my periods back after 6 weeks! So unfair!

I formula fed and also breast fed for first couple of months (I had low milk supply). I had my period about 4 months after giving birth. I used to get really bad period pains before getting pregnant but this time, it was painless. I'm hoping it isn't a one off!

I'm breastfeeding and have just had my first period since giving birth. My baby is nearly 7 months old!

I got mine about 4 months after, breastfed as well for first month though. The advice is that if you haven't had your period 1 year pp to go to the doctors but that does seem quite a long time.

I wouldn't worry OP I didn't stop bleeding till about 12 weeks (nightmare) and now all is well

I bled for 6-7 weeks post c-section. Then periods restarted about 6 weeks after stopping BF, about 14 months later

I FF from the start and it took 12.5 weeks for my period to arrive.

I bf for 1 week with ds1 and period came back after about 4-5months ds2 bf for 3 weeks and period cane back after 6 months.

I formula fed and they didn't return until about 13 weeks
