Could it possibly be 5 weeks and 5 days?

Professionals are but my lmp was the 13th of January 2015. I know I was intimate on valentines day which counting 40 weeks puts me to around about now. Then I was intimate again on the 20th of march. That's why I thought I was 5 weeks 5 days (adding 2 weeks to the date of conception-20/03/15) on the 14th of april when the scan was carried out but sonographer said 8 weeks 2 days. So I'm not sure which date to go by. Think my bubs is just taking her time.

Estimated due date for Valentine's Day was 6-12th November ( trust me I know) and also the '50 shades babies'
You would be counting 38 weeks from conception plus two for LMP. Not 40 weeks from Valentine's Day.

maybebabybee · 23/11/2015 15:50

your bump doesn't look small to me!!! (mean that as a compliment)

Sazzysez123 · 23/11/2015 15:55

So would you say I concieved on the 20th of march then or is that too far ahead as I am 40 + weeks now?

Sorry I'm asking so many questions, just struggling physically as I have a physical impairment and am literally bed bound at the moment and would love to know how long I have left of being like this.... driving me crazy, as I'm sure you can tell!

That isn't going to give you an answer to when your going to give birth sorry!

The dates are irrelevant once they've dated the scan. Just go with the professional so you can have upto another 2 weeks left now if you are 40weeks.

PotteringAlong · 23/11/2015 16:07

In all honesty does it matter? A normal pregnancy is between 37 and 42 weeks long. A due date is nothing more than an estimate. I'm not seeing what the problem is?

Sazzysez123 · 23/11/2015 16:07

:( feel like I've been pregnant forever!
Thanks anyway. I'm sure she'll be here sooner rather than later.

Have you got a plan in place? Sweeps or an induction date?

waitingforsomething · 23/11/2015 16:18

That baby is much bigger than 5 weeks: when I had a scan at 5-6 weeks due to bleeding there was barely a foetus to see just a sack and what looked like a pip! That scan looks about 8-9 weeks to me; remember it is just an estimated date and totally normal to go overdue by a couple of weeks

Sazzysez123 · 23/11/2015 16:20

Thank you. :)

I have had a sweep and induction is set for next Monday. They wanted to do a C section because of the nature of my disability (cerebral palsy) but because of the recovery they fear it will impact on my ability to take care of my baby as my partner has the same condition but is confined to a wheelchair, whereas I'm more mobile so will be able to support him in looking after her.

That sounds tough OP. You never know you may go into labour before next Monday, but trust in your doctors to make the right decision at the right time. Do you have family or other support to help as well when the baby is home? Sending you Flowers to get through this week!

mrssmith79 · 23/11/2015 16:44

Bless! They say a watched pot never boils but I guess being bed bound means you don't have a lot of choice in the matter. Here's hoping for a speedy outcome SmileFlowers

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 23/11/2015 16:47

My DD1 was conceived on Valentine's Day. Due date 7th November, born 13th Nov.
These last few weeks are tough OP and I imagine even more so for you. She'll be here soon Flowers

wheelsonabus · 23/11/2015 16:52

looks like my dd's 8 week scan and that was the most accurate estimating when she'd arrive. the later scans got earlier as she got bigger than average. So.....the early scan is prob the most accurate. But....you could go overdue anyway. So it's a waiting game, I'm afraid. It does your head in because you're in no mans land after the due date passes but you'll get there sooner rather than later!

Sazzysez123 · 23/11/2015 17:07

Yeah we have family support but we are only trying it for the first few weeks as we want to be as independent as possible. It's a scary time because both me and partner know we are capable, I work in childcare but professionals make us feel like we have to prove our capabilities to them. Other than that I've had a couple of tightenings and pains today so heres to hoping. It's hard to take your mind off things when you are stuck in one place. Might attempt to go for a little drive tomorrow. Get on some bumpy roads. Got my mobility car 4 weeks ago and it's been stuck on the drive for 3 of them. :( :) thanks guys.
