For the last few nights i have found my self needing the toilet every 30 minutes or so. sometimes i have the urge but just cant go. i was tested for a uti on wednesday which came back clear. so what is causing this. she said the cold weather could cause this but it doesnt seem like its happening during the day. i have no pain upon urinating.

It could be that you aren't completely emptying when you do go. try rocking a bit on the toilet to make sure you have properly finished.

Unfortunately this is very common, if a uti has been ruled out then it's just something that comes with pregnancy.
I'm 31 weeks and the toilet is my best friend atm, sometimes I think I may as well just fall asleep on there.
I agree with the above post though, rocking can help.
Also if you start getting any pain while weeing, backache or a temp then get you urine tested again.

I had this at around that time- I wan't fully emptying. I only worked this out at 28 weeks when I started wetting myself slightly after every wee. I now lean forward to empty my bladder, have been doing my pelvic floor and also stand then re sit to squeeze the last bit out.

I had this too! I was passing a litre of urine a night (yes, I measured it so I could tell my OB), getting up hourly. It was awful. I still have no idea why so much and all at night. I found it improved about 32 weeks when my baby moved from breech to head down. Now I only get up 3 times a night and it's bliss. Hope it sorts itself out for you too.
