Sudden rapid/jerky movement

Hi, I'm 34 weeks pregnant and im just lying on the sofa watch TV. All of a sudden Baby has just had a very rapid strong sort of vibrating movement - a bit like when a dog shakes off the rain I guess? It lasted seconds and all seems to be okay now. Baby is head down (not engaged). Has anyone else had this?

Probably hiccups. Mine used to get it a lot.

I get hiccups quite a lot too but this is a different feeling entirely. It was much stronger like a sudden shiver if that makes sense.

I've had it lots of times. I googled and I think it's pretty common.

I've had it too, started at about 28 weeks for me. Mentioned it to midwife and she wasn't concerned.

Mines just done it as I sat reading this! Happens quite a bit with mine.

I'm sure I read it's the baby sort of practising its startle response.

Doesn't make it any less scary the first time it happens though! Hope you feel reassured about it OP.

Probably totally normal. But you know your normal so worth getting it checked/baby monitored in hospital for a bit, just for piece of mind.

I'm 31 weeks and have had this too. Very odd.

I get this, 29 weeks. I thought it was the baby having a temper tantrum, hitting and kicking with all limbs at the same time.
