there's an awful lot of sickness bugs about

having said that, I knew when I was going into labour both times because I felt so ill/nauseous

make sure you keep drinking and if you're worried, get yourself checked out

With my last pregnancy I wasn't sick at all until the day I went inot labour, the runs can just be your body clearing out in preperation for the birth.

Good Luck

Shell, I've seen other threads where people have said they had diarhoea just before labour started and my mum said last night that she went off her food just before labour when she was having me...don't want to get your hopes up though . Have you eaten anything dodgy?

olittletownofberolina · 09/12/2006 21:37

could be labour. I had contractions for a couple of days and diarrhoea at the beginning of them, then when labour kicked off poperly I threw up. But equally it could 'just' be a tummy bug.

I havent really been eating alot as I have felt too sicky, I was wondering if Icould be in early stages but worried that I am wishful thinking so dont want to think that I am in labour if you no what I mean!!! I have got stomach cramps aswell across the top of my stomach near my ribs which has started about half hour ago, which I was thinking it may be because of the runs?? I am worried that I wont no if I am in labour or not!! As you can tell this is my first baby!!!!

Oh, I felt too crap to eat for a day or two. I had cramps too, but further down - I actually went to the hospital and they sent me home saying I had IBS It all sounds promising, tbh. Good luck!

SHELL2006 · 09/12/2006 22:02

well, thats another thing I have been diagnosed with IBS and they have given me tablets for them (this was very early in my pregnancy) but its a different sort of pain to the IBS pains I get..... WHY IS IT US WHO HAVE TO SUFFER!!!!!!!!!! [FSAD]

Well I did have really bad morning sickness at the beginning until about 15 weeks ish so it could be that my hCG levels are doing weird 7 wonderful things, if it is labour, I am starting to panic & get scared!
