Help! Miscarriage 5 weeks ago, faint positive test!

Hi! I'm totally new to this site but I was looking for some advice. I recently had my third miscarriage 5 weeks ago, I took a test today and it had a very faint line, I took 2 more different brand tests after this one and they were both negative. I'm so confused, I still haven't had a period after my miscarriage, is it possible that the test is picking up something from that or could I be pregnant again? I'm going crazy!

First of all I'm sorry for your losses. Was it a natural miscarriage and did you have a negative test at least 2 weeks after the mc? If so, it's possible the test is picking up a new pregnancy. I had my second mc at the end of July and had a positive test less than 5 weeks later. I am now 16 weeks pregnant. No period in between the mc and pregnancy.

However if you didn't have a negative test, it's possible that the test is picking up on old hormones as sometimes it can take a while for hormones to leave the body.

Wait a week and Retest. Try first response or the super drug brand. I find they always work better than digital tests like clear blue. Good luck and I hope you get the answer you want!

I was 10 weeks and had medical management, I got a negative test around 2 and a half weeks after miscarriage, I'm so confused as I'm not sure when I ovulated or when my period is due. The test was very very faint, I will attach a picture. I will wait and take another test in a week, fingers crossed!

Then it sounds very likely that it's a new pregnancy! I can see a line! Defo retest...maybe in a couple of days! Fingers crossed for you!

It's v faint but I can see it. Was it ur first wee this morning?

I had a mc in 2013 then conceived dd straight away the following month without having a period. I really hope it's the same for you, fingers crossed. I know what an emotional roller coaster it is.

No it was afternoon when I took the test, I might take another test in the morning with my first wee, I'm so impatient! I don't want to get myself to excited.

I just thought i would add I got pregnant immediately after two of my mcs (I also had three) they are 3 and 5 now

So sorry for your losses. If you got a negative test after your most recent MC then it sounds like this is a new pregnancy. Congratulations

The negative tests you took after you got the BFP; were they with your first wee? If not, might explain why they were negative. Have you tested again today? Let us know how you get on.
