Swollen and sore private bits!

OK, so it's not a glamorous topic but I just got undressed for bed and I am swollen and hard all round my vagina. DH raised his eyebrows and thinks i should maybe contact the midwife?

Is this normal? I'm 26 weeks pregnant and do have a slight cold at the mo.

Feel stupid bothering the midwife when it's probably nothing...

have you got thrush? happened to me when 18 weeks pg with ds,thought it was something else as had no discharge but gp told me it can occur this way.

Could it be varicose veins? Its quite common to get bulging swollen veins on the vulva during pregnancy, a yeast infection such as thrush can cause some swelling too but usually is itchy

sounds similar to what I have been getting recently....
Im 32 weeks and usually get swollen bits after aherm.....you know what.Haven't had full sex since conception due to mc history but do "other" things.

DH says its common and may be due to increased blood flow down below..?? Thing is it tends to go down after a short while.

I think it was a warning of thrush or something similar. I've drunk more water than you would believe today to flush my system which seems to have done the trick. The swelling has gone down too.

Just gave me a bit of a shock - Sickness, low blood pressure, exhaustion, itchy skin etc I handled just fine as I knew they were all part and parcel of being pregnant but I just didn't know what the swelling was.
