Hi. I found out 2+ weeks ago I was pregnant. I'm 43 with a son of 15. It was a shock at first, but quickly became excited. GP put me at 10 weeks as my last period was 3 weeks late, my periods have always been all over the place. Went for dating scan yesterday and they couldn't find a heartbeat, midwife thought baby might have stoped developing , so she got a doc to do an internal scan, he thinks I'm only about 6 weeks ,still no heartbeat, seen two yolk sacks and one fetus. Have to go back in two weeks to early pregnancy clinic for another scan. I'm terrified that I'm about to m/c. Have spent yesterday in tears. Don't know how Il get through the next two weeks.

Sounds positive RoTo!!! Take it easy today xxx

I had a 6 week scan that showed no hb. We were told pg wasn't viable and I'd need another scan 10 days later to check I'd fully mc. 10 days later the scan showed 2 strong heart beats and my healthy twins are now 4.
Try to look after yourself and I really hope all is well Flowers

I had a scan at 6+0 which showed yolk sack and tiny embryo, measuring right for dates but no heart beat. They were not fazed and said often too early for hb at that stage. A few days later I had a very heavy bleed - with clots - but no cramping, which lasted about 30 mins. Was convinced I had miscarried but scan at 8 weeks showed hb and all well. Currently 16 weeks and no other issues or bleeding. Fingers crossed for you, it's an agonising time Flowers

RoTo72 This is a great update to read! Fingers crossed that time passes quickly and uneventfully for you now until you can have a reassurance scan.

RoTo72 · 11/11/2015 17:47

Oh hopefully

Yes I agree. I was advised against having a scan at 6 weeks because of scares like this. I have got an early scan next Monday which will make me 8 weeks & 3 days. Hoping that all will be well but it's always such a worry. Thinking of you xxx

RoTo72 · 11/11/2015 18:26

Thanks. All the best for Monday

Hey RoTo how are you? Xxx

CuppaSarah · 15/11/2015 10:56

RoTo I'm sorry you're going through a really difficult time. If it helps I found pregnancy symptoms would come and go in early pregnancy, till about 8 week where they really set in for good.

RoTo72 · 15/11/2015 10:58
