Sharp pain under left ribs... is this normal?

About 5 minutes ago, I suddenly started getting intense, sharp pains what feels like in my rib cage, on the left hand side! It's been constant ever since. I'm 12 weeks, is this normal?x

Could u have trapped wind ? Can be quite painful and quite common at this stage

My gut feeling is telling me it's not that but I could be wrong. I've been pregnant before and have experienced the painful trapped wind but this feels different! This doesn't feel like anything I had in my last pregnancy, although maybe that's my memory playing tricks one me! Hopefully you're right!

Well baby is still tucked in pelvis so it's not baby itself. You could be bloated and Constipated which can cause pain up by ribs happen s to me alot especially now I'm at the end. Also what about indigestion? If you concerned ring 111 or an OOH GP and get seen to if you don't think it's any of the above

Thanks so much for your replies, the pain has started easing!! Thank god!!! It was not pleasant!! I'm sure that must be a good sign?! If it starts again, I will probably call out of hours as it was her intense! Hopefully it is just bloating/wind/indigestion Ive been getting really bad heartburn already too so I suppose could be heartburn & indigestion! Thanks so much ladies x

That's good. Hopefully it was just trapped wind. If it comes back and you don't feel right get it checked out though. Heartburn isn't nice! I'm 22 weeks and it's come back with a vengeance! Hope it doesn't come back for you.
